Okay, I was going to attach my "Petty Nationalistic Loadscreen Mod" aka "Bye Bye, Mr. Washington", but I can't attach files, so I'll just post a picture which you can use to adapt on your own, or you can pm me and I'll email you the files.

Instead of Washington, I changed it to Lord Nelson. No offense Americans/Artist, I just don't want Washington staring me in the face every time I start the game.

Washington is a bit more appropriate than Nelson for the EU3 time frame. But both aren't really the main characters of the era. I guess they just needed a pretty face

Cromwell's not pretty either; in fact, he's even uglier than Washington.

Anyway, I'm with cccino. I vote for Charles V; he's the most historically appropriate.

Why even pick one? I think EU2's cover with 4 different leaders is much better than any one leader. Afterall you can't summarize one person to symbolize all the different cultures of the world for a period of more than 3 centuries.

Anyone got a portrait of the Guiser (pron. 'geezer')? All I've seen is a woodcut print. Something of an action scene would be awesome.

BTW, I think the European release will get the 'conquistadors gazing over their new discovery/next conquest' pic on the box. I suspect ye brother gamers across the waters will get that for the loadscreen as well.

Nup, we get the US box cover.
The Australian distributer (Auran) has on their website the George Washington cover with Auran's logo, and an Aussie style ratings sticker.

Why is that Australian box brighter? Not that it makes George any better, but still. Also, it wouldn't make much sense for me to relpace Washington. *awaits the stone-tossers* So I replaced that image of the Spanish conquistadores.

It beautifully captures the ironic juxtaposition of values of the time period as new ideas became relevant and swept away the ancient regimes. Or something.

It's also about as amusing as putting a picture of Bismarck on the cover of a game about the American Civil War.

Still. The American Flag makes any box cover look better!
