Johan is entitled to value HOI2 and Diplomacy over Vickie. My main gripe is that he hasn't even told us that he stopped working on it. If that is the case then VIP can take extreme measures to counter balance through modding but that can be done much easier in the exe.
Let me add my voice to the people calling for calm. Let's take a deep breath, shall we? Patches are given out as a privilege, not a right. Vicky now works perfectly well as a game; what remains is fine-tuning and niggling annoyances, not gamebreakers. (No, not even the stupid AI management of its RGOs; play MP.)
Just because Johan and Paradox have been extremely generous with patches in EU2 and HoI, doesn't mean they have to do so for every game. Indeed, as the number of games published grows, the support per game must inevitably decline. If the loser in that contest happens to be Vicky, well, it makes me sad, but Paradox must make the best economic choice for themselves.

I agree but as I stated before, only 1 more patch is really need to plug the most glaring holes. After this, he can completely forgot about vickie (he can continue patching if he wantsKing of Men said:
). 1.04 is not extensive patching but going to 1.08 like HOI is IMHO.
Paradox and Johan have been outstanding. Do I want a new 1.04 patch? Sure. Do I begrudge Johan spending time on other things that might be more pressing? Absolutely not.

I have always said this is wishfull thinking but as I said in my petition, it never hurts to really show that you still care and want this patch. There is always the chance we will grab his attention and get the final patch

Vicky is my favorite paradox game so sign me up as well, athough I doubt we will ever see 1.04.
As a general hint to everyone, any extra threads created asking about patch 1.04 will, at best, be merged into this one. We already have one thread for suggestions about patch 1.04 and this one for a petition. Two threads are enough.
Count me in! Victoria is my gem of the Paradoxe's games - and it only needs one(?) more push to make it perfect.
I think HoI II and CK are the Paradox priority right now followed by EU II in Johan's spare time. There was a time when Johan was very enthusiastic and optimistic about working on Victoria, but with the initial, impolite uproar at release and even after patch 1.02, I think he was heartbroken.
My guess is that Johan will return to Victoria eventually, but not too soon. He will not ignore the wants of players and modders alike. Just look how much he has done because of the AGC-EEP's requests --- more provinces can now be added to the map! I project that Johan will return within a few months to begin working on a new patch, though I wish it were earlier. It has indeed been a long time since the last form of any patch.
