I was talking about Austria's diplo-annexation idea.
They removed it and put some boring and standard morale boost in it's place.

To give it a fighting chance against France. Which is now pretty weak. They removed it and put some boring and standard morale boost in it's place.
And in 1.11 they added it back, kinda. They removed it and put some boring and standard morale boost in it's place.
This is ridiculous. Unique national ideas is what makes a lot of countries fun to play with. How can they just randomly take it away? I was pissed too when they took away Austria's diplo cost reduction. Stop making everything so bland and similar.
They also took away their unique gov in 1.12 for some reason. They removed it and put some boring and standard morale boost in it's place.
Welcome to the club. See this Flanders thing in my sig? Yeah, it has been present in the game since release and no dev has ever commented on it, even though it's unhistorical AND gameplay-destroying.Signed. Why no comment from the devs?
Oh boy, I hope we get word from some devs anytime soon. At the very least a justification for the change![]()
I see what you did there...OK, Najd missionary strength has been restored to 0.5%
It doesn't really make historical sense, as early modern Islam wasn't hell-bent on converting anyone (quite the opposite), but then French troops weren't anymore brave than other troops, aside from the ideologically inspired revolution and napoleonic armies, but they get Elan anyway in 1500-ish. So I think the bonus should return.
Najd does not represent the entirety of early-modern Islam lol. Aside from their missionary strength boost and missionaries in NIs they don't have much impressive going for them. The double-tap nerf (the tribal government hurting even more) turned them from an interesting position to something one wouldn't normally touch unless going for the achievement. How did that make the game better?
