Except that this might lead to weird results like 5 Cots in Italy again, and would have to be tweaked and tested extensively consuming much time. The old stytem was certainly not optimal, but it worked with relatively sensible results and I prefer very much to return there than to have no change to the current one at all. Especially considering that the change was made only to have population influence the CoT location more and that this didn't happen at all.
Artemis, who owned those provinces in that game and who had colonized the eastern sea-board, brasil and argentinia?

Given that trade is the key to income in EU2, I would expect it to be high up the priority list.

The AI is both too ready to embargo and too ready to cancel embargoes now. Stability is an issue here, but the way a player can guarantee a CB on any given CoT owner at above trade 4 is just as much an issue, IMHO.

I would also like to see stability and ADM value (and possibly others, I forget) have their impact on chances of being targetted and chances of actually being kicked out halved.

This isn't the place to get into a long discussion though. If people want to discuss further, maybe we should start another thread about trade in GD.

Artemis, who owned those provinces in that game and who had colonized the eastern sea-board, brasil and argentinia?

The Susquehanna COT was in the Tsunami USA game... IIRC England had colonised the northeast coast and France had colonised most of the central USA area (Bayou up to the Great Lakes or so). Coincidentally or not, the COT happened at the time that a) Susquehanna defected from England to France and b) Susquehanna reached a population of 5000.

The Uruguay COT happened in a recent SP game I was playing as Spain - I was concentrating on colonising the historical areas, plus California, as heavily as possible. I left Brazil to Portugal. I didn't bother to conquer Chimu and the Incas in that game, although I did conquer the Aztecs. I did not colonise other areas like Africa, India, or the East Indies.
Also in that SP game when the Netherlands formed, they colonised Surinam which I had left open (more or less intentionally). They got a COT in there quite quickly.

Its only going to be in effect for the first day, opening session day 2 at most. So it will last till around 1470-1492 at the very latest.

Slargos you probably understand the ruling but for those that don?t.

I should probably stop skim-reading posts. :D

That's more or less what I expected. See my post in the COT thread in the general discussions forum. CoTs pop up on isolated islands and "colonial islands" within/near the colonial empire of other nations. This makes no sense.

Tsunami was the biggest MP game ever (16 players on average) that ran from 1492-1817 and was completed within a month through weekend play only. It was the basis for the beta patches.
