how exactly would you think they would fix it? Does it really require all new additions an expansion pack would offer?
I'll sign a petition for another expansion, but not necessarily one for only Asia.
My experience with Asia is just one Japan game. Just one. Not more, just...one.
The Eurocentrism on these forums is really retarded. The minute you leave Europe the world becomes an ahistorical mess of stupid.
Is it really stupid that people care most about the things which they are familiar with? As European I'm familiar with European history and only Asian nations whose history I know in greater detail are the Turks and the Mongols. Sure I know something also about Arabian and Persian history, but there are whole periods of their history I'm unfamiliar with. I have only sketchy image about Far Eastern history and I can name only few Chinese dynasties or Japanese warlords. And I don't know any Vietnamese or Burmanese rulers (except the modern ones). So excuse us, if we ignorant Europeans and Americans like to play as countries of which we know something about.

And don't give me that one liner about how it is called 'EU'. If Victoria had everywhere but the UK a ahistorical mess would the fact that is was named after a English Queen discourage you from asking for it be to fixed?
But yes, relgion is another area that can be added to. The point of this petition though is to address the HUGE errors made in Asia and the New World. You'd think after 3 expansions they'd have gotten to it...
Sorry but this is a really strange point - one which when used by people who want correctly represented balkans you "Europeans" turn in to be an ignorant, nationalistic and whatnot.. yet here you use it freely to justify your preference to be ignorant and just play with the familiar thing and never care about the rest of the world.

The name doesn't matter! This isn't about names, this is about intent as I have stated twice now.
And yes, the idea is to fix everything outside of Europe, not just Asia.
What's so weird about the point? Sure as European I mostly play as European nations, but it shouldn't be used against me and call me "really retarded" because of my preferences. Game has been directed to Western markets and it's only natural that the focus is more Western than in Japanese strategy games.
And if you will read my whole post you'll noticed that while I prefer Europe, I don't oppose developing other parts of the world as long also Europe is developed. There's plenty of inaccuracies in Europe too.
And I haven't said anything about Balkans or it's history, why do you automatically assume that I'm hostile towards Balkans or it's history? (I'm not and I like the region, it's people and it's history. Although I don't usually participate to historical disputes between Balkanese people, because I know that what's official historical truth for Serbian may not be the truth for Kosovar.)
I said it's weird because I've been there trying to justify why they should pay more attention in the balkans (which are grossly represented) using the very same points you mentioned. Everyone plays with what he is most familiar with country, region etc. I agree with that but it's not good enough for most people.
And I'm not turning it into a dispute about the balkans I just used it as an example.
Besides I'm sure people don't want every minor detail about asia being pinpointed they just want a better (at least) general representation of the countries there. Not just some countries thrown around with neglect.
I can agree that if an expansion is purely concentrated on Asia/Africa the interest won't be so high but dismissing the idea just because you don't care about these regions seems wrong to me.
I'm not dismissing the idea completely, but I just don't see completely Asian/non-European expansion as good business decision as general historical expansion to the game.
Not especially if it's anything like EU2: Asian Chapters which is actually worse than vanilla EU2.
