Petition for One Last Expansion After HTTT: Europa Universalis 3: The Asian Dynasties

Unified Japan in 1399, Korea always getting annexed in a single war that lasts a few months, Ming never facing any of the problems that it historically faced which means it never falls apart, etc.

Why not continue EU2: Asian Chapters' work?

Although i do agree that asia is underdone. I would rather have an expansion that improves the EUIII mechanics that are ahistorical like religion... i know i say it too much XD. But i would hope for a system in which there can be a major and minor religion in a province. The best way is a percentage based system allowing for 3+ religions at once, but that may be a bit hard to do.

I think other mechanics still need a little bit more improving, although a little asian improvement wouldnt hurt

It would be a good idea to have a bit more focus outside Europe, especially in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the New World. The only problem I see is that these areas, especially Asia, had much different outlooks and issues than the western nations in this time frame. As much as I would love to see some flavorful Chinese or Japanese events and history happening, I feel it won't happen due to the nature of the game and how much the gameplay would need to change to accommodate it. I would also fear that we would just see a few unification, more revolters, and maybe a couple of decisions, which while welcomed, isn't really enough to make a whole expansion out of. If it was done well, I'd support it though.

The Asian Dynasties name is probably a trademark by Ensemble Studios (Age of Empires) because the last expansion to AoEIII was called that as well. (It's an even better game than this o

The name isn't important, the intent is. And besides you can't trademark the phrase Asian Dynasties anymore then you can Crusader King. It is a common name and thus free for anyone.

While the asian department of the game could do with attention (I've been researching an asian mod for two years for eu3 by now so yes I do agree here ) I also prefer actual engine changes for expansions.
I also agree with adp101 that religion is probably the remaining area that needs the most attention (possibly along with the economic model of the game).
We just got a new expansion though so let's discover where that can take us first It did bring a number of very interesting changes that apart from being nice in themselves will probably allow for some very nice modding.

My experience with Asia is just one Japan game. Just one. Not more, just...one.
The game is focused on Europe. Another expansion is not something I support, unless they work on the mechanics (which can be done with patches). HT³ was a request from the fans, so my guess is the market has saturated. Let them work on a Vic 2 or CK 2 or EU IV, but not another expansion.

I would like this expansion.

I would like almost any expansion paradox is willing to roll out. They can get $20 from me every six months. I'd subscribe to it, like Eve Online... - free expansions but you pay regularly.

Of course as someone who likes to play Dai Viet - a thousand times yes to an asian expansion.

I also think that it would be great to have another expansion, but better improve the game engine and game mechanics even more than adding more Asian countries.

Wouldn't be cool to subscribe to EU for, let's say, 1,99 or 2,99 Euros per month and see continuous development in the game with minor releases every 3 or 4 months? The game would improve as long as players supported it. Once players lost interest, Paradox could declare EU "Really complete".

And don't give me that one liner about how it is called 'EU'. If Victoria had everywhere but the UK a ahistorical mess would the fact that is was named after a English Queen discourage you from asking for it be to fixed?

But yes, relgion is another area that can be added to. The point of this petition though is to address the HUGE errors made in Asia and the New World. You'd think after 3 expansions they'd have gotten to it...

A part of me wants the Asian Expansion, but I spend the bulk of my time personally just playing European countries. If they had yet another expansion, sure it could add a bit more flavor to the Asian countries, but it would probably touch on all of them in the whole world.

Let them work on a Vic 2 or CK 2 or EU IV, but not another expansion.

I'm hoping for a CK2, it's been a while since the original release (2004), and Deus Vult (released 2007), it could use a shiny new coat (aka new engine) as well as a few more features.
