And your point is...?
So Paradox can develop an obviously unpopular DLC (not that they don't have every right too), and customers don't have any right to at least present grievances and say "Hey, why aren't you working on THIS instead?"
Seriously, get over yourself.
My point is: keep it in ONE damn tread. I don't give a BLEEP if you love, hate or are neutral on this Aztec DLC. No need to spam the forum with redundant treads whose point is not even to discuss the topic.
Thats simply forum etiquette around the net.
You basically write, "Oh, people don't like the new optional DLC, they should deal with it."
Well, I have a retort for you, "Oh, you don't like threads parodying the new optional DLC, DEAL WITH IT."
*looks at haters spamming treads, hijacking every tread they can, whine rather than actually criticize and don't even bother to check what Dev's said on the topic*
You are saying "Deal with it!" to the wrong people here bro.
People paid good money for Sword of Islam and Legacy of Rome, and expect the development of something equally good (!!!or better!!!), not a COMPLETELY ahistorical fantasy DLC that should be the realm of modders.
And that thing IS in the development as scheduled and under budget as originally planned.
SI is a minor DLC, meaning that no serious amount of money even went into this.
Jokes are funny and this definitely isn't irony...
Funny depends on which side you stand.
As annoying as spamming treads are, I and many other had very good laughs at comical reactions here.
I think it's pretty clear that a significant part of the community doesn't like it. I would probably go as far to say most of the community.
Sales will show that, not few vocal posters.
If I had a penny for every time vocalists were proven wrong, I'd be rich like EA.
Also do you know how many people it takes to create content for these games? Lots... Each person is making at least $50,000 a year in wages so if say 12 people worked on this a month (at least one artist, at least a couple of programmers, some support staff, a marketing guy, a guy to lead the team, etc) then it costs: $50,000. I would say that's a seriously conservative estimate right there.
Oh, you are following PI's financial reports or something? And number of people working on a big PIO game is usually small, yet alone a minor DLC.
Either way, it has been already said from Dev's themselves (who, I assure you, know their own organization and resource spending better than you can) this is a minor project that didn't even waste meaningful amount of resources. And since they can't just start another big project, not making something in mean-time would be unprofitable and a waste (and don' say they should have done something else: everything else deserves better developer treatment than some fantasy invasion).
This is a minor DLC not worth much fire, either positive or negative. And damn it people, one DLC won't bring end of the world...
...wait, it was Aztecs that prophecised the end of the world in 2012, no? Is this what they were talking about? Is this where the end starts?
Aztecs ain't invading CK", they are invaing the world by causing the WW3 :-O
THE END IS NIGH!
