I would say towards the east - inlcude the empire of the Parthians (today's Irak and Iran). So I would NOT include India.

I would love for Paradox to use or expand the map to the size of the EB map. I play EB now, have for a long time and the mod is amazing. I would hate for Paradox to restrict the map.

As said, during the period of EU:R this isn't a big deal, but for an expansion (or mod) set either before or after that timeframe the current the map will limit an accurate simulation of the Mediterranean world: Will Alexander actually reach the end of the world (and not northern India)? Will the increasingly (new word: "explodingly") important long-distance trade in the centuries AD be cut out altogether? How about Aksum?
The map should be about the extent of the CK map, cut off about in South Sweden and with lots of PTI in Russia. It should go a bit further south than CK though to give some more space along the Nile.

Project management is a very hard thing. Q2 2008 is at best nine months away. That is a short time to develop a whole game while at the same time supporting the rest of the games...

I understand, but making the map bigger, just like the one posted wouldn't seem too much of a hassle. However i might be wrong. But if we are talking about Empires here, having the map restricted how is someone suppose to attempt to recreate Alexander's empire if the map doesn't even cover the area which he conquered.
Maybe I am just spoiled by playing EB and having a huge map to play and endless possibilities to expand and explore new regions.

How many provinces are there in EU3? How many are there is EU:R?
I admit that I haven't played EB but, from looking at that map in the OP, it appears that roughly half the map is almost empty. Is anyone really going to miss the Sahara, the steppes or Arabia?Rommel22 said:
