I'd like EU:Rome to have a map including West Asia, North Africa and Arabia, such as:

Map of Europa Barbarorum, mod of Rome Total War.

Those areas were in close contact with the mediterranean area, and were important regions part of playable nations such as Ptolemays and Seleucids, and contributed to the historical development of these nations.

Yeah, and you'll be playing in the Americas, and after finishing with the countries right beside you, you'll just sit and wait the game to finish.

I agree, the entire world doesnt make sense, not to mention the sheer difficulty of providing information on factions across the entire world that existed in the time frame with next to 0 sources on most of them.

Rather than an expanded map, I'd like to see a smaller one. That way Paradox can make the gameplay with the diffrent countires more uniqe and diversified. Like the senate in rome, chiefdoms in northern and western europe, citystates in greece really differ from eachother.

I would bee cool to play with the Han emipre but, maybe not in this one..

I wouldn't expand the map. It's better to get a smaller map done right; the larger you make it, the harder it will be to balance everything (that is, if you want the different civilisations/tribes/... to be unique and non-generic).

I'll sign that petition.

The areas that this map would include didn't play a very big role during the period of EU:R, but why not include them anyway since these areas became important shortly therafter (or just shortly before the timeframe you could also argue, with the conquests of the Achaemenids and of course Alexander the Great). Having a complete map from the start will make it easier to develop mods (and the inevitable Imperial expansion).
