the game is about playing a dynasty. So changing the dynasty ingame would be... ehhh...
Dynasty in medieval age is more about close family member, not about the heraldry. What dynasty is currently portrayed in game is just a heradry, and many dynasty change their heraldry overtime. As long as a close family member succeed you, then it should not be considered a change in dynasty by medieval standard.

I wouldn’t mind having this as an achievement breaking game rule.

What I hate about the way matrilineal marriages work, is the way the AI unrealistically "prefer a matrilineal marriage", and turning them off creates a new problem where if your immediate heir is of a different dynasty, you lose, which incentivises one to play ahistorically. Any combination of being able to play as your heir when not on ironman, playing as your nearest landed dynasty member, ect would be fine to resolve this.
