When you raise your army, you also get an option to raise the escort of your character. That escort represents your character. It is a unit that behaves as any other, with one small exception: You can only disband it in your own realm.
That means that you can no longer instantly teleport your character from distant foreign lands.
You need to walk all the way home.
When no other units are attached to your escort, it cannot be attacked.
Example:
After finishing your campaign in the Holy Land (where your army was unfortunately obliterated), your character is left stranded. He gets a modifier "In foreign lands" (or something like that). Your best course of action would be to move him home as quickly as possible, unless you want him imprisoned. As long as that modifier is active, there is a certain chance of a random event to fire, regarding your travel.
(Suggestion thread is opened, so I might as well throw a random suggestion.)
(Also, this was the first idea that came on my mind, so don't criticize me.......too much
)
Feel free to share your thoughts if you would like the "instant teleport" exploit fixed.
Cheers
