Hi. I play as Shiite Persia for Ajam and I have problems with Otto. For a long time we were allies, but after he received the credits for Mesopotamia, he broke the alliance and now wants my lands. I immediately added them to the rivals. I removed Spain and Russia from the list of rivals and started to improve relations with them. I looked carefully for any major country that could at least detain Otto. I have already defeated Otto as Serbs in last game, but only with strong alliances. Made alliances with Poland and Adal. Russia wanted my provinces so it remained an enemy. Spain has removed me from the list of rivals. But the union is hampered by my relative weakness and lack of trust. I’m with them. According to my calculations, it will take me about 20 years to increase trust and form an alliance in this way. France is still in my rivals until 1680. There is an alliance with Delhi. Additionally, I can conclude an alliance with Lithuania (they are allies with Poland).
To myself: Shammar is my mark, Gujarat is my vassal, whom I will annex in 8 years. Bahmani is another vassal. The plans are to finally finish off Vijayangar. There will be trading companies on the coast, states within the continent. The Indian army is nothing compared to mine. The only thing that stops me is the threat of an attack by Otto when I am busy in India.
My economy is the largest in the world. My net income is 150 ducats a month.
With the army, everything is more complicated. My force limit and manpower are too small to fight the Ottomans. The difference is twofold in their favor. But mine is definitely better than the Ottoman. Forts of the third level were built on the border.
My ideas: economic, offensive, quality, trade, influence. Otto's ideas: administrative, innovative, quantitative, diplomatic, influence.
I have such questions.
1. How likely is it that Otto will attack me when I start a war with Vijayangar. According to some people, he will only attack when I have little manpower. But this is unlikely in the case of this war. It will end very quickly. If so, then I have nothing to worry about. In general, they have been apathetic lately.
2. How to increase the force limit. I have vassals, I build buildings, what else can I do?
3. How big is the difference between discipline 129 and 109? According to the wiki, I will deal (129-109) / 109 = 20% more damage and take that much less. I have all armies trained 100% (10% extra damage and 25% less damage taken). My generals are better. In principle, in case of war, I can attack their stacks when they besiege in the mountains and break them, Spam of mercenaries thanks to money can also help.
5. How can I change Spain's relationship from neutral to friendly to make it easier to get an alliance?
6. Which idea to take next? I have no shortage of monarch glasses so I can choose any.

Too many usless forts, build one fort line of the highest level, in the mountains or hills, deserts, but be blocked to all sites. If u dont have defensive ideas, go get them as Persia, it will kill the ottomans with attiration, a good doctrine is with religious giving u 2 base attiration. Get up to 200k, build some manpower building baracks where u would get 500 manpower from baracks, plus manpower manufactories in provinces with fish and grain. In cities where there is the place afte manufactories, workshops and barracks, build the force limit building. First wars should be defensive, in the mountains, wait until he sieges get the whole armies to wack a mole him repeat until he has no manpower left. If u siege him, use mercs on his fort.

You are so late in the game, even with half the Mannpower you should win with your army quality, if you have equal or better generals.
Just make one big stack with max attack wide Infantry and arty. (eg. 34 wide 34 Inf, 34 arty) This stack you place behind your one line of forts and let the ottos come, you will bleed them dry.

You just need some infantry in reserve to replace the ones who need to generate (shift consolidate). Should be an easy war. If you want it even easier just pick quantity as your next idea. But i think you dont need it. With the one Stack max wide taktik it should work easy.

Persia is mostly mountains in the west, just build a wall of forts in the mountains and dogpile Ottos every time he tries to siege one. Even the Ottos eventually run out of manpower.

Persia has a great set of choke points along the Zagros mountains. I'd let them burn their manpower on those forts a few months, build up some attrition and then stack wipe on the forts. Rinse and repeat. Even if you haven't allied them, their enemies will often (and seemingly more often than before) pounce on them while they are fighting you -- particularly when their manpower reserves get low.

I wouldn't worry about the ottomans attacking you. As above, focus on putting the forts in a line. It doesn't have to be along your border, but definately so it covers a lot of mountain provinces helps. Attrition can kill quicker than you think, especially because the AI will still send large doomstacks to their deaths to take forts. You have professionalism you can burn if you need manpower, and any battle you fight you should win given the better staying power and punch your army has.

I would focus on that, and not try any offensive wars until you can drag another ally into a war to help divy up their forces.

Yeah, with that fort line you should be completely fine. I don't think they will attack you, and if they do, they won't be able to survive sieging all those mountain 6 forts. Also, take a look at their forts. They often leave them all at 2, and they would be amazing for your eventual counter-attack

1. You wait for them to attack some far away country, preferably not directly. For example if they are at war with Spain by being brought in by Tunnis or sth and they move whole army to Spain. Then you attack from other side.
2. Allying all rivals. Usually Ottomans have plenty of rivals and you can very easily ally them all. It will cost you diplo points but you can swarm Ottomans very easily from all sides. But this has some window of opportunity. Looking at your map this time is long past. You don't have any strong country in europe that's bordering them. Probably missed some opportunities earlier. You can use Russia by they usually are only cannon fodder. And they will be attacking from the same side which is not ideal. Because it will force Ottomans into one direction.

If you are at war with them your goal is to peace all their allies and force their allies out by eliminating all ally treaties. Next you wipe Ottos armies by having better quality which you have. You just need to snipe them with max altilery and good generals.

If you do that neighbour countries will attack Ottos one by one. And by doing that Otto will not have time to regenarate and in 5-10 years you attack them again. This way you can basically bankrupt them in 30 years. Without allies and in constant wars they will collapse themselves very quickly. You just need to understand when it's time to attack them and when it's not. Having naval superiority is essential. To do that you need strong allies in Mediterranean or being strong here yourself. You don't want all 400K Ottos at your dorstep. This will be very costly war. You want Ottos far away and their armies dispersed. They are very weak then. It will not matter if they have 400k if their stacks are 50k all over the map. You will have only problems if 400K stack is in one place and this place is your border. If you will understand that and use it to your advantage you can basically beat countries with 10times more troops. And Ottos are no exception. Usually AIs are very poor at coordinating their armies when fighting multiple fronts. You just need to find those situations where there are multiple fronts and enemy is actively fighting on them.
