We already have exterminator types in multiple forms, but what if we made a slightly less purge-y version of it?

Permanent Revolution would be a civic which requires Militarist ethics and it must go alongside Shared Burdens (automaticly meaning you need to be a Mil, Fan. Egal.) It disables diplomacy to any Non-Fanatic Egalitarian, and provides a relation boost to those who are also Permanent Revolutionaries or have the Shared Burden civic.

It would also ofcourse offer various military benefits to free the workers, and remove the recently conquered modifier from any pop in the worker strata, instead offering a positive happiness modifier. The Permanent Revolution Casus Belli would ofcourse be total war like it's equivalents in the purging empire types.

Sounds kinda too strong. I mean, a Genocidal Empire, but the pops are instantly made productive instead of purged over time, AND have a happiness bonus when you take them over? On top of the typical Genocidal military bonuses?

Full of flavor, but it seems like it'd be something better added to a new AI Personality with the requirements of Shared Burdens and Militarist. We need new AI Personalities anyway.

You can simply set purging to Forced Labour as a Fanatic Purifier, making the pops not use housing, produce lots, and not really care about amenities.
For the rest, swarms are already the most powerful thing in the game by being a genocidal hivemind.
and the determined exterminators, they are getting a lot of energy, which should not be dismissed.

Sure, you can use the 'Work them to death' 'eat them' 'melt them to batteries' purge types, but that doesn't change the fact that afterwards, you have an empty planet doing nothing and you have to painstakingly regrow the pops. Nevermind ALSO making sure you don't get a rebellion as you slowly kill them off (It should be slower than it actually is ingame, due to the Extermination-Speed purge bug).

Maybe it could be more like Driven Assimilators. No military bonuses, but no crushing -1000 opinion modifier, instead a discouraging -100. It'd be a nice parallel, since then both would be able to 'assimilate' entire planets at once with relative ease.

You can have them for a pretty long time, decades, and their output is also increased during that period. For the rest, rebellions are very, very, very minor. You can just have a couple armies kill it in it's infancy, or instantly declare war and crushing it when they don't even have a fleet to resist with
