Performance boost - DEVs are welcomed

Hello,

since most of my time i had to use laptop only, i came across a performance problems with CK2 (EU4 runs smooths tho)

Currently what i am using is

settings.txt in renderoptions

{
draw_terrain=yes
draw_water=no
draw_borders=yes
draw_trees=no
draw_rivers=no
draw_postfx=no
draw_sky=no
draw_bloom=no
draw_tooltips=yes
draw_hires_terrain=no
draw_citysprawl=no
}

it does make performance slightly better than comparing to defaults, but still im am sure some of you may have better solutions, ideas etc?

It would be also nice if DEVs could make a manual how get max performance, switching to lowest possible settings\graphics etc

I was having many issues with perfromance (constantly having CTD every 15-30 minutes of game time) until I visited this page https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7169-TIAV-5361

My issues was that my bios was not up to date. Since I updated my Bios I havent had one CTD (about two weeks now).

I know from experience that AndrewT will ask for you current checksum and dxdiag, so post them if you want his help. Also, does the issue stop when you run the game without steam running? Are your video drivers up to date? Lets see is there anything else AndrewT typically asks...well thats all I can think of for now.

My story:

I have a 2011 Macbook pro. CK2 runs terribly on it. Actually I have to set "draw_terrain=no" to avoid overheating.

... until I installed Linux on it and somehow CK2 works better on it than on MacOS X ...
