After playing mainly Germans and the Raj,I have decided to play as a weaker country.I started playing as PRC or whatever it is called at the 1939 start. So,as we all know,PRC was at war with the Japs at that time.I thought I would get obliterated by them, but I do not think I lost a single province to them, which is funny considering I have almost no factories, but that may be because of Mao Zedong's defensive trait.I have put all my Military factories into guns and did not update them because of the efficiency loss.I have sold my Civilian factories to Russia for steel. Now I started regaining territory that the Japs have taken from me.I then advanced into the green Japanese pupped. After they capitulated,I went to capture Beijing and a town southeast of it,and by doing that,I cut off the Japs that were in the Chinese territory from Korea and Manchuria,at least by land. After that I went to support the Chinese on the southern coast that was taken from then (which I cut off from Korea,as I said). Then I saved the game and ended it(for now mwhwehwehhehwhe).I think that the war is already lost for the Japs, but I am not sure if I would beat them.It is May 1941 when I saved the game.Soon,Murica will get into the war and it will be over soon.I forgot to mention that I have 45? divisions as of right now and they are all fully equipped and most of them are Trained.

So,don't you think it is a little to easy to beat the Japs as the PRC?

Hmmm Japan in the 1939 start doesn't have a ton of divisions in china, honestly it might be harder to play PRC in the 1936 start. That way Japan has a bit of time to prep for the war. But in the end a half decent human player vs AI will aways win.

The Japanese AI is pretty awful generally, so a 1939 start (where it has less divisions in China) compounds that. A human player defending the natural fortress that is Shanxi province is going to slap the AI around pretty good. It is even tricky for human players to bust their way into the PRC heartland, even against an AI PRC.

I think, besides the fact human beats AI in many situations, the scenarios of PRC, China and Japan aren't fully developed. Japans focus tree hardly touches the situation of PRC. PRCs focus tree is the default focus tree. China aswell. Of course, there are mods, but at this time, the situation between China, Peoples Republic of China and Japan and its puppets isn't fully developed, to give a final conclusion.

One only needs to look through the game files to see that the current setup was probably cobbled together at the last minute. First of all, the events for the Civil War feels very incomplete, with no real outcome to them. Refusing cooperation in the Xi'an Incident has no consequence for Chiang Kai-shek or anyone else, it only results in the United Front not forming. None of the famous warlord generals, like Li Zongren, Yan Xishan or Ma Bufang are transferred to the KMT if they are annexed by the United Front. Looking at the country history files and ideas, I'd guess that PDS wanted to have the CHI-tag represent all of China in some way, since their advisors list is divided into parts for #Communists, #KMT, and #Warlords. Perhaps they wanted different avenues for finishing the Civil War. The current non-generic advisors are incidentally all Communists. And then there is that small annoying thing that they are using a portrait of Communist Marshal Lin Biao, in a KMT uniform from his time at Whampoa Academy, as a leader portrait for Long Yun, the Warlord of Yunnan.
