Pentarchy in MP

Hello,

We're currently playing a MP with some friends, and as Byzantium, I managed to get the Pentarchy Triggered Modifer... I expected to have the Pentarchy event to launch very soon after, but it's been 20 years and still nothing. My friends are playing catholics countries and are enjoying the Curia system to its fullest (Excommunications, Holy war, etc...)

Is it normal it don't fire in MP?

Maybe you need to aquire the mission "Restore the Pentarchy"? Only guessing though

You need the "Restore the Pentarchy" mission to get it fired.

humm, so no chance to get the mission once you effectively got all the pre-requesite for it (as I have already the pentarchy triggered modifier)

I'm also confused about this, as I have the triggiered modifier in my Russia game but never got the event to pop up. For me it's been even longer, and I control Rome/Thrace/Aleppo/Alexandria and Jerusalem and got tem all cored too.

They definitely were, unfortunaly I don't have the save anymore since it was on my old computer so I can't double-check. It was a long while ago too, but as I played the game as an extremely narrowminded crusader Russia I always went straight for a missionary after building a Courthouse to reduce revolt risk. Note* this was in SP though, and I don't really need an explanation for this as I don't have the save anymore, just thought it might add something to OPs problem.

Read LarryXXL's post again. You only get the event if you complete the mission and you can't get the mission unless one of the 5 provinces is not orthodox. And you can't get a mission while another mission is in progress so you would need to cancel or complete your current mission after you met the requirements.

You could sell a province to a muslim nation and wait while their convert them and then cancle the current mission to get the mission.
