Pentarch Achievement Not Firing

Hi,

I can't figure out why this won't fire. I am playing on Iron Man and I didn't create a custom ruler. When I started a game it showed that achievements were enabled.

I've linked to a screenshot of the religion/moral authority tooltip. The 5 provinces are all Orthodox and all of the rulers in those provinces are Orthodox. Am I missing or misunderstanding something?

Game insists I changed my save file, which is news to me. I had a lot of fun (as always) so I don't mind doing it again, but now I'm worried this will happen again. Any of y'all have tips on how to avoid that or how this might have happened please let me know.

There's a bug (well, maybe more than one) with ironman saves where it says you don't get achievements; I think sometimes people got the achieves anyway, others did not.

If this just happened to you, try making a new ironman game, then switch back to your save and see what it says.

Also are you playing a normal world or shattered?

I tried making a new game then reloading but still no luck.

Normal world, started as a Strategos in the Byzantine Empire.

In any case, thanks for trying. From now on I guess I'll just go into the game then load inside so it can tell me if achievements are disabled or not, so I don't pour more time into something that will frustrate me.

If you click the i icon to the top left of your character portrait, you can look at the game rules, including if achievements are still active.

One thing that breaks them is if you lose internet connection while playing. Once your computer and Steam disagree about the file it is dead for achievements. I turned on cloud saves just to block that, since it will tell you when it can't save so you don't break it.

Thanks for the tips! For my new game I switched to cloud saves and I'm going to check the i thing whenever I start it up.
