There was a ton of people, however, I noticed the two places you showed are near metro stations. There is always a ton of peds walking around near metro station. If your walk ways were above ground in those same areas, it would look the same. If all other areas, virtually no one was using your underground walkways.

So I think the reason why you have so much foot traffic is because they are near metro stations, not because they are underground.

Underground stops the crosswalks from jamming traffic. If they’re built over land the short cuts get stopped by meeting perpendicular roadways.

And there are thousands of cims throughout the tunnels, each representing a car not on the road. The metro stations are dense, but you did watch hordes of people walking away from them rather than driving away.

I usually have hords of peeps walking away from my metros also. Foot traffic is always high around those and that's what was shown in the video. When other underground tunnels where shown, I saw only a few people walking. Same foot traffic as if they used sidewalks.

I'm just going by what I saw.
