Does the Pearl Harbor Event automatically destroy/incapacitate the American pacific BB Fleet or must a Japanese CV attack still be conducted? Although there appeared to be no capital ships at Pearl Harbor, my 10 spies still indicated 15 American BB still in play somewhere. Is this correct?

I'm no expert on the Pearl Harbor event...certainly not in IC, but from all the games I have ever played as Japan or the US on ANY version of an HoI-based game, the Pearl Harbor event never actually affected any of my ships or fleets, in or out of Pearl Harbor.
(I suspect you could totally dismantle both the Japanese and US fleets prior to the event, and it would still fire).

I also think that Pearl Harbor event doesn't affect your ships in any way. It is there just to start war.
