Please let a Peacefull empire be the Crysis aswell. Imo there would be nothing wrong with it after all you don't care for any other Race and as a Holy church or a Holy Empire whats wrong to admire the shroud as the place of the Gods and you simply want to join their side?

on that note maybe give those empire special oranic ways so they can have a resolution to deny robots in their empires at all but have smth like "prevent child prevention and abortion" so equalize the loss of growth. i really really would like to play a diffrent setting than i would like to see in real life.

A peacefull Holy Empire wich admires the shroud and wants to reach the reals of the gods but at the same time denies some basic technologies like robots but may even encurages slavery?
May include this even as a new DLC with a "divine" shipset somewhat close to those of the Merchant faction. that would be Freakin amazing imo.

Thanks for reading

How would they be a crisis, then?
What you're describing just sounds like psionic ascension with extra flavour.
i mean blowing up the whole galaxy pretty much is a crysis i don't know what you asking for tbh.

To gain menace you go on a "holy crusade" you crack systems wich are deemed Heretic. I mean Religion pretty much gives you whatever reason you want in the name of your god.

How would a peaceful empire declare crusades and launch heretic extermination campaigns? It would clearly betray their nature. If their religion has such influence that their "peacefulness" is not considered, then they were not peaceful to begin with.

I Agree to a Certain point but in the end peacefull shouldn't mean no wars at all so i mean a crysis still should be approachable since as the game works now peacefull is like "me myself and I" may opposing idologies on other where you need war aswell. So i don't see why you shouldn't be a crysis aswell you simply do your own thing even if you destroy the galaxy in the end its not like you force your neighbours to attack you but they logically will unless you allow them to join you and even then some wouldn't want to join. Imo really nothing speaks against a crysis as peacefull empire since you simply want to go to the shroud and don't care for others if they start caring about your actions so be it but thats whatever right (this would fit perfectly to inward perfection since you really do not care for the rest of the galaxy so why care if they blow up)?

Actually it should.

Ethics, Authority and Civic do not care what the empire claims to be - they are what the Empire actually is.

You can give your Fanatic Purifiers the Heart Symbol and call them "The Peace Bringers of Krikkit" - they are still Fanatic Purifiers.

So why can you make war to force ideology then as a peacfull empire it makes no sense aswell. your argument is completly pointless.
You can make a Force Ideology War as normal, because you are only normal pacifist.
Not fanatic pacifist, wich think even that much is too much.

Btw, the Pacifsit faciton still hates the "Liberation War" setting either way.

Still a war is a war whatever you call it and even if you're pacifist if your endgame is wanting to go to the shroud wich imo should be a valid gameplay with a holy emperor you should loose the "pacifist" after getting the crysis perc if you cry about it so much.

Look at you disliking every answer of mine.. Sir you definitly need some peace in your life

In the end this is not about pacifism its about the endgame of your race and if your engame as a holy empire of man is to go to the realm of gods you shouldn't be limited by smth unnecessary as this. Even if it'd mean you loose the pacifist perk but imo that wouldn't be necessary since as history has shown every single "peacfull" nation or entity has done wars even if they call it right or self defense in the end everyone could've just give up their belives and ideologies but noone did. what a suprise isn't it.

You can't just get rid of an ethic you have no use for anymore this way. You need to engage in some (though not very interesting currently) internal politics to change your ethics. You can do that in the game already, and it has a cost, which should be expected: you can't drastically change the governement's point of view on key elements of their entire society without real political investments.
Becoming a crisis would require you to abandon your peaceful ways, not allow it. I don't understand your issue with it.

Stellaris Patch 1.5 has been out for sligthly above 4 years now.
In 1.5 the option to change your Ethics was introduced (or sometimes shortly after. We had it for so long, I forgot when it was added).

Your argument precludes a existing way to change your Ethics and thus has been invalid for 4 years now.

Fanatic Pacifist: "War should not be used to claim territory, only to protect yourself."
Regular Pacifist: "War should not be used to claim territory, only to protect yourself and others suffering under an unjust government."
Crisis: "War should be used as often as possible, so that we can study the ripples in the Shroud created by the pain and suffering of sapient creatures."

You: "I don't see the difference. A war is a war."

The flavor text is pretty clear - a Crisis Empire isn't just a species that's obsessed with the Shroud, or even an amoral empire that doesn't care about the suffering it causes. The suffering is the goal - your empire thinks it's a good thing and there should be more of it.

See I don't think normal Pacifist should have ideology wars, it makes the Pacifist AI very war happy, much more aggressive and less cooperative than they should be imo, I would just give them preemptive war which only allows them to attack rivals and makes them remove their claims, reduces their influence gain, and I just described humiliation war didn't I?

Normal Pacifist in the game don't feel like they are fighting injustice, they are like, you have unrestricted wars you are the devil itself and must be enlightened by force!
