Given that the other thread was shut down with good reason, one question remains. Although its clear that no forceful means will be available, no matter how historically accurate, im wondering if the cultures of provinces will be set in stone or if peaceful assimilation in the empire will be possible?

Im asking mainly because its an aspect of EU2 I didnt like, one of the few! The fact that they were so set in stone, that is. I'm hoping the Ottoman Empire would have ways to make the whole empire love its leadership and with as much loyalty as native turks, if they put enough effort into it, for exemple.

Im wondering if that will also be exempt and if we'll be stuck with arbitrary penalties?

Well, POPs do have culture/religion, and you can have various POPs in a province. Plus, POPs migrate. Be sure to check the POP FAQ started by Patric. :)

Try the Switzerland example, very very high living standards, total democracy and no wars :). Does it sound like a lot of fun?
