Somethings that SHOULD to be added.
1)You should be able to demand for maximum six provinces in epace negotiations.
2)You should be able to:
a)demand to remove trade embargo from you
b)demand oponent to disagree from monopoly in any of your CoTs
c)demand oponent to disagree from monopoly in demanded CoT(s).
d)demand oponent to disagree from colonizing area from border that you have selected (example: France disagrees from any colonal attemps from provinces Talahsee and Biloxi to province Niagara in treaty with England).

I support all but no. 1. That makes conquering the world too easy and quick. The current method shows the "static" of that time quite well.

Well at least 4 provinces. Russia defeated Sweden EU II and gained 4 provinces of Finland.

Yes, in the war of 1809. However, this is very late in the game and was quite the exception (and a national catastrophy, I might add)

One thing that really should be implemented is repairs; when a country loses a war and you demand money from them in the peace negotiations, you´ll just get what they have in their treasury. You should be able to extort more money under time. Maybe not the whole sum (regarded as unbalanced in betatesting of EUI) but a smaller percentage, maybe 20% of the demanded sum over five years.

Well one thing that would help the balancing would be to make the ducat value demanded somehow relate the the size/wealth of the losing state. The 1000d cheat/unbalance occurs because i can endlessly whack Cologne and demand 1000d each time and get it if they didn't just give me the 3d in their treasury. Maybe each star level could equate to 1x of a states annual tax revenues. This beating a state with 10d per year would net 10, 20, 30, etc ducats while whcacking on with 50d would net 50, 100, 150. This would allow for a more reasonable peace settlement- one where taking money at least gets your soemthing from the state you've beaten- without allowing crippling attacks on tiny states to reap huge financial rewards.

This actually sounds like good idea -- payments based on proportional national economy and level of victory. IF you don't have x in your treasury at peace time it would be be reduced to zero and the remainder payable Jan 1 of the following year.

In any case sums of 250/500/1000+ are in the scale of the game improbable to get as I haven ever seen the AI ever give more than 250 in peace!

sure the ai gives more than 250... ive asked for 1000 and gotten around 6-800 quite a few times - mainly near the end of the game, and if you offer your peace on jan 1 (which is quite obvious!)

I think you have an excellent idea there... and it's probably not too late to include in EU2.

Paradox guys? Beta testers? What do you think? :)

Fight the Iroquois, Aztecs, Incas, Japanese..... they don't build troops unless someone goes to war with them, and they're incapable of building anything else, so the money just keeps piling up. Of course if it takes you a long time to win, they'll blow it all on fresh troops.

I call that cheating, I mean you spoil a weakness of the whole reparations system.

Yeah, amazing how many peace treaties I sign on Jan 1. This is a bit of silliness I'd like to avoid. I've gotten around 900d but that is susually from attacking either at the end of the game or some helpess state that has been at peace for a long time and has pretty much built out their entire infrastructure and so isn't building anything. Still, most of the times I wind up with the scubby 18d, 3d, 22d whatever unless I wait for Jan 1 and even then I typically don't even get 250d.

Yes the Jan1 payday/treaty day is kind of a cheat. It is kinda like flooding a CoT with merchants at the end of the year. But since you can't see how much you are going to get in a peace settlement I guess it kinda evens out.
