Greetings again fellow board members. It's been a damn long tiem away but all this buzz over the latest Paradox masterpiece has drawn me back in. Ah, its good to be home!
Anways, to down to the question; what will peace be like in this game? Is the three province rule out for this one? I mean, it seems sily to fight the Great war for three little measly provinces in Russian Poland when you've kicked the czar's ass all over the place. Sorry, in advance if this question has already been answered.

Lol, horseman, it seems you are a couple of years late with your knowledge of paradox games :D . That rule from EUI was removed in EUII, and I think it is a guarantee that we shall have no such pesky thing in Victoria ;)

peace,

Think twice Orthoserv. There was NO rule in EU I in terms of annexation. That was introduced in EU II. Go ahead, go play ur game and find out. Ya see? It never pays to be a smarty-pants. Only makes ya look more foolish in the end:D . But..judging from the responses I'd said the three prov rule is out right? so, what are the peace rules? How much can we take

Woah, who said anything about annexations? I was refering all along to the rule of only taking three provinces in a peace, and its removal in EUII.

All bow to the right hounourable Lord Smarty-pants :D :p ;)

peace,

p.s. I believe we can take as much as we want, relative to how much we beat the stuffing out of the enemy, as per the EUII understanding of victory "percentage"

There is a victory score in aprofs AAR. He has 24%. So its EUII style.

If you look at the Mexican AAR you'll see a screen for a Peace treaty. Each province has a % value assigned to it. I guess you can claim as many provinces as you want without going over your current % value.

how much you can take depends on the worth of what you want, and how well the war was fought by your side.

i just hope they have come up with a better judging system than in EUII. i mean, even on the hardest level it is very simple to play as the USA and run around and occupy all unfortified canadian provinces and make the british start begging for peace. the reason i dont like the percentage system is because it doesnt take things outside of the war into consideration. it doesnt factor in one nations manpower base vs. the others, or either nations income base. all it does is evaluate the how the war has been going up to this point, leaving the ai with no long range planning abilities to decide wether it is going to get worse or going to get better.
