Where's the PC version I wonder?
PC announcements due at PDXCON from what we've been told.

Mobile versions of existing well loved franchises should be announced after big popular reveals, not before them. Whether true or not talking about a mobile game before (or worse yet, in lieu) of a main sequence game update/launch sends a message that enrages fans.
Bethesda have screwed up a lot lately, but one thing they got absolutely right was fallout shelter. Big reveal, Fallout 4 *big applause* "oh and also this other thing called fallout shelter". Everybody happy.
Blizzard on the other hand. "You people don't have phones", twenty five years of good will evacuated like a burst airlock.
I think a Stellaris mobile game could be a lot of fun actually. I just don't get Paradox's release strategy at all here?
You don't want your game to be swept away though surely? You want people to be excited and play the new game right?Ehh, I think this is a decent method. Make it clear that there will be a PC (and also that it's not Stellaris 2), announce the mobile game before, that way it gets a few days of undivided hype/discussion, then when PDXCon happens it all gets swept away, and they can adjust their pre-launch marketing accordingly.

No one really wants to hear about a mobile game right now. Once the future of the series is certain and people feel informed, news of additional peripheral content on mobile platforms will feel like icing on a cake rather than a third wheel.
Add to the equation the fact that base game is broken for more than half of year and performance is really unsatisfactory. Announcing a mobile game in such situation is really a risky move. You don't want your game to be swept away though surely? You want people to be excited and play the new game right?

Completely depends on what kind of game this is.Add to the equation the fact that base game is broken for more than half of year and performance is really unsatisfactory. Announcing a mobile game in such situation is really a risky move.
Also, as long as they don't make content for Stellaris that is exclusive for buyers of the mobile game like they did for CK2 and Crusader Kings: Chronicles.Completely depends on what kind of game this is.
I could detail the answer, but it all goes down to this: as long as it's not a crap game, it's not just available on a few devices, it's a buy-to-play, it doesn't feel like a downgraded strategy game for mobile - it should be fine.
Year and a half if we include how 2.0 nerfed the endgame events into virtual nonexistence.Add to the equation the fact that base game is broken for more than half of year and performance is really unsatisfactory. Announcing a mobile game in such situation is really a risky move.
In the PC and console versions of Stellaris you can only see the top half of the alien races when doing diplomacy. I'm guessing about the pictures, but what if Paradox is experimenting for something new, and makes only the bottom half visible when doing diplomacy in the mobile version?
I don't see why they wouldn't develop it with a separate team. Console Stellaris was ported over by a company hired by Paradox, not sure why you'd assume that a hypothetical Mobile port would be any different.I just hope they developed it with a separate team, and gave the regular Stellaris team resources to work on a new overhaul (diplomacy) and expansion.
What? Why would they need to remove pre-sapients to keep the rating?I think it'll be a phone only thing because I doubt they'll have the animated profiles. They probably won't have pre-sapients either which could be problematic if they wanted to keep that pegi-7 rating.
Presapients don't have clothes, even when their 'intelligent' model versions do.What? Why would they need to remove pre-sapients to keep the rating?
