You should have ditched that agreement and gone for all of Scandinavia---without forming Scandinavia of course, since their flag doesn't match good old Dannebrog:p
Do you think you will be able to get all of the Caribbean?

Now now, Sweden supported Denmark loyally when I was weak, and now that I'm strong it wouldn't do to backstab my Scandinavian brother.

I think so yes. I'll certainly aim for it.

So, a quick recap of some of the major events that took place in the last session (at least as they are understood by me)...

Like Bohemia, Castile and Hungary in previous sessions, Brandenburg was the next European kingdom to be divided up between its ravenous neighbors. They were quickly reduced to a single province (Berlin). In the north, Sweden with the support of their Danish allies have continued their inexorable advanced into the Russian interior at the expense of Muscovy.

The Mamluks sailed halfway across the world and landed an expeditionary force in Southeast Asia, from where they proceeded to launch their promised invasion of Ming. By all accounts, they met with success on the battlefield and occupied large swaths of southern China. This, of course, left their Egyptian homeland completely devoid of troops. At this point, the Ottomans and Venice attacked despite guarantees that they would leave the Mamluks alone while they were busy in Asia (generous bribes from Ming may have been involved). The Turks have occupied the entire Levant and things are looking glum indeed for the Mamluks, despite their victories in Asia.

Ohh.. if you are able to get these kind of troops against me, I'll gladly open up my lands for your pleasure to do as you see fit

How could I EVER fight against those clearly superior units!

It wasen't a bribe that made the Ottomans move towards the Mamluks, but rather a large sum of money to contract the Ottoman Empire that is now a nation-for-hire (no interest in score etc, only fun with war)... Once the objectives of the contract has been made, the Ottomans are once again available to be hired by another player to further their goal in this campaign.

Great Wars

The Mamluks-Asia Conflict
The Mameluke sultanate establishing a presence in Indo-china did not come unnoticed. The major nations of Asia, Ming and Brunei, banded together in order to fight the Egyptian merchants that were establishing themselves there. In order to defend their neighbors they picked up arms and declared war on Pegu, the vassal of Mameluke. 50 years of bloody battle ensued, the nations came to a point where they were completely devoid of resources to fight the war and it eventually ended. The Mamluks had hold the upper hand for a majority of the years but the corrupt Ming diplomats paid of the Sultan of Rum to invade his Muslim brother in Syria, this move would later result into the Great Eastern War.

Both Mamluks and Ming were utterly ruined by the war economically but Brunei managed to learn from the Mamluks and Portugal to improve their government and opening up to an influx of western influences.

The Great Eastern War
With the Ottomans engaging the only safe border they had, the eastern nations of Europe saw an opportunity, they now had their bitter enemy engaged on all fronts. Lithuania, Sweden and Muscovy have been fighting the Hordes for so long but the Sultan of Rum has always stopped them. Now with him engaging the mighty Mamluk Slave Armies he had doomed himself to destruction. Quickly a war started to cleanse the Steppe's of Crimea and fight the Bukhara.

The Mamlukes had been fighting bravely keeping the Ottomans just at bay, having even to succumb to demands from Venice. However the Eastern nations were still ready to fight and declared war on the Ottoman to for one bring him down and hopefully eventually reclaim Constantinople into Christian hands.

Why is Kameloso a major power when Spisnegel isn't, considering that Spisnegel surpasses Kameloso in almost all the above lists?

Wiz how did you lose Halland? Did you sell it to Sweden? In that case why?

'Major Powers' is actually players mapmode.

Gave it to Sweden, to reduce his penalty from non owned cores and as a gracious gesture in general.

Major powers are just simply the players.

Not much happened for Japan this session. I was still dealing with the aftermath of my Westernization and had a ton of loans to pay back... I'm also letting Catholic rebels run riot on the Home Islands in the hope that they'll convert enough provinces for me to switch religion. I would have preferred to stay Shinto, but many of my provinces have already turned Catholic through events and there's no way for me to successfully convert them back.

Towards the end of the session I attacked Korea and their Oirat overlords together with my Chinese ally. All of Korea has been occupied, but we had some setbacks on the battlefield when Ayutthaya (under temporary AI control) joined the fray with their massed artillery. They were eventually beaten back by continuous waves of massed Chinese peasants, however.

Curious to see how Lithuania's bid to restore Byzantium works out on the other side of the world. Last I heard he had something like 320% overextension...
