I'm surprised no one picked a native tribe. With CoP they have a potential to become really huge. And why pick Morocco when Tunisia's so blobbed? You can just conquer them fast if you want to colonise. There's also a void in the HRE now. If only Austria's there they can unify it and become really strong. Instead of picking tons of asian countries that are guaranteed to clash it would be much smarter to go for the HRE and the new world.

Starts as Muscovian vassal, nothing special about them as far as I could tell when I tried them, except that you have 20 years before you get annexed.

Perm starts with a fantastic monarch and heir (6/4/5 and 6/5/5 off the top of my head). Hungary also gets great rulers from the Hunyadi DHEs, so there's the common factor.

So Diplo tech increases global settler increase? Hum now Muscowy can get expansion first, integrate Perm, level diplo tech and swarm over siberia in a similar way as they can in 1.5?


EDIT: A_Spec said that Expansion was changed to be a ADM tree instead of a DIP tree in order to help colonizers. I assume he's talking about historical colonizers such as Portugal, Spain, England and France. Why did they need help? Was this change induced so that they colonize faster? I fail to see why this is necessary.

Settler Growth increases from tech. The default base Settler Growth was cut because colonization was too fast.

So as Portugal, choosing Exploration as first NI, getting 1st colonist, without leveling Diplo tech AT ALL, the only settler increase i'll get will be from the colonist himself?

It's +25 at tech 3, so you'll get some, just less than before.
