After a long period of darkness and tyranny in Europe, the French and Dutch menace has finally been halted and forced to recognize the inalieable rights of the peoples they would seek to oppress. The King of Denmark can only hope that the intended lesson has been learned so that these nations may never again threaten world peace through their imperialist ambitions.

By this he means a Gank where his side 3x-3.5x the Dutch-French Side had when the war was at its strongest.

Honestly Ming and Malaya getting involved is a bit ridiculous/strange. Not to mention the only person who really gained anything out of it was Denmark [Wiz], and Poland[Catalack] (Brandenburg and Rupin under his control, and Potsdam, Anhalt, Altmark, and Leipzig were released from Austria.) So Portugal, Byzantium, Ming, Malaya all put their troops through a meat grinder all for no gain to themselves.

So instead of talking about the French-Danish Menace, lets Discuss the Dansk-Swede-Byzies-Han-Porto "Death Star" Bloc.

Dirty imperialists. :p

Only if you count troops tied up on other continents, and ignore the fact that Egypt effectively joined on the other side. It was a lot more even than raw numbers of alliance would indicate.

Shhh.... stop using logic to weaken my argument. ;)

Though to be realistic, I don't understand why not use a different CB. If you really want to Damage the Franco/Dutch alliance a non Coalition CB would have worked better. Its half the reason we rarely use Coalitions in the Forum MP games. You put so much into a war, and gain far less out of it. Particularly because you can only take Claims/Cores.

Relations were a bit too crap to form an alliance between all the coalition members... we have one now though. You know, in case the vanquished refuse to stray from the path of wickedness.

Well good luck next time I guess. The Dutch kinda deserved this one after they had fun Pillaging and rap....um....raiding Danish villages and kidnapping Danish women and Children and "deporting" them on their Penal Colony Sea-beggars in the previous session

Centuries ago, our great empire was torn in two. While the western part slowly crumbled, we have prospered in here in the east. Despite going through some difficult times, we have endured and our great nation is a glorious one.

Yesterday marked the day in which two once again became one. Two halves united under one flag. In a world where there is but one rightful emperor. Thankful of our allies in Poland, we have finally been given that which is rightfully ours. To rule with divine right.

All hail Emperor Alexios VI Jagiellon, emperor of the Romans, and emperor of Byzantium and the Holy Roman Empire, now united once again, and the heir of Rome.

The Western Powers won some important early successes but in the end the bad guys had these immense manpower reserves that they could just keep throwing at us. And when your enemy has bases all the way back in China and Siberia, that's pretty good strategic depth and it's hard to knock them out. Especially since there were no neutral powers to potentially threaten them, everyone was in on it.

But although the motives in many cases seemed very obscure, one can only take it as a compliment when the ENTIRE WORLD conspires for one's destruction.

At least I got this cutie to comfort me after getting a knife trusted so deeply into my back. :(

P.S. Groogy, get your ass on Constantinople and Control the City of the Worlds desire. Tis is your Destiny!

Glad to see someone can spot the true villains in all of this!

Office MP in a nutshell.

Groogy, no matter what your hedgehog thinks, Hungary defending its allies from direct attack is in no way a breach of its proud neutrality. Let's not fight over Anatolian borders which were drawn up peacefully, now...

While the eyes of the world were locked on the tragic carnage taking place in Europe (which briefly elevated Japan to the country with the second highest manpower pool after Portugal), brave Japanese pioneers colonized the lush tropical paradise of Hawaii. A sense of peace and tranquility settled over Asia and the Pacific.

Manpower reserves, pfah. The Battle of Mecklenburg was what proved the superiority of Eastern arms over the decadent Western courts... our manpower was just as depleted as yours after the minor setback at Trier.

Was a pretty fun war though.
If anyone could have handled a big world-alliance as we had it was you guys, you still made good resistance and even though we had most of our armies combined in a united front you pushed us back entirely and started sieging down denmark.
I'm all for even wars, and even though we probably had pretty good odds of winning this war I think the alternatives in this campaign would have mostly been 'point-who-is-gonna-die-next-round-eu4'.

I think smaller wars with less people involved is funnier, but it's hard to achieve that.. everyone just gets pulled in one way or another and suddenly you have world wars :)

Leave Byzantium to Egypt then :D About the same size and the same economy. That was a fair fight, that he decided to not put up any resistance was another matter.

Edit: Ow yeah since the two largest Muslim nations won each a war against the orthodox faith. #getrektson, Muslim valor and discipline superior! Allahu Ackbar!
