I installed CKII but i can't play it. When i try to launch the game it won't launch. Hourglass spins and CKII appears in taskbar, but nothing else happens. When i press my mouse button, screen goes black. When i push my mouse button again, windows says that CKII does not respond, and i have to close it.

I have installed CKII several times but it doesn't help.
I have updated my graphics card drivers.
I have tried to download and fix net framework, directx and visualc++
I have disabled my antivirus and firewall
I have tried to change game resolution in settings.txt file

And now i found that my other games won't work neither. They will work after i restart my computer, but if i try to launch CKII, other games will stop working. Other games will freeze as soon as i launch them, and then i have to restart my computer again and then they will work.

I have win 7 64bit and sorry for my poor English language skills.

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.

The problem is clearly in the video area, as that system.txt file ends before it initialises the video card. Try this: exit the Steam client, then right-click on both ck2.exe and ck2game.exe, and set them to run as the Admin user. Now manually execute ck2game.exe ( the launcher), what happens? Then manually execute ck2.exe (the game itself), what happens? Please be as descriptive as possible.

BTW if you see no ck2.exe you can the Comodo problem, see the sticky "known issues" thread above.

I solved the problem. I looked at that system.txt file and saw the last line [ck_application.cpp:641]: Initializing sound...
I desided to disable my usb speakers and i restarted my computer. After that the game works just fine. Then i installed my usb speakers again and earlier problem came back.
I think that i have to buy new speakers because these (Logitech Z Cinéma) have caused other problems too in windows 7. In my older computer where was win xp they worked fine.
Thank you for your help, i will come back if i have any other problems. :)

Oh, Logitechs Z Cinéma system had caused others problems as well, like these:

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...-start-suspected-issue-with-Z-Cinema-speakers
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...eam-start.&p=14041215&viewfull=1#post14041215

You're not the first i'm afraid. I couldnt find modern drivers for the system and i don't think there are.
If your screen has speakers you could try to use these until you get new speakers.
Maybe AndrewTs suggestion in one of these threads to uninstall Logitechs' driver and replace it with a Windows one could work ?
I have no idea if my links in the first thread could help in your case. It didn't there, as he had Win8.
Good luck.
