PC - Crashes on startup

I haven't been able to get the game to run, have deleted and re-installed once, directx and c++ appear up-to-date, and just updated the video drivers. The game appears to crash as soon as it gets a mouse click on the loading screens.

Same with me I am in the game running after I have married with my character the game crashes.

Are you playing a new game or did you continue a save after the latest patch?

The game did successfully load once, but generally crashes immediately on startup. Occasionally it will get to the loading screen, but it frequently crashes to desktop immediately on launch. I've already done a fresh install once, trying that again.

Don't forget to delete the CK2 dir in ...\mydocs\pdx

How to obtain a DxDiag log:


* Open your Start menu

* Type "dxdiag" in the search field (without quotes)
* Click on the dxdiag program
* A window called "DirectX Diagnostic Tool" should pop up now
* Wait until the green bar at the bottom-left has disappeared
* At the bottom right-hand side, click on "Save all information"
* Save it to a place where you can find it easily, for example your desktop

- Copy the results into your post surrounded by code tags

deleting the CK2 dir in \documents\pdx did fix the problem after re-install. thanks!
