Trento collapses against the Italian offensive. What was asked 30 years ago is going to be now taken with force
16 Aug. 1944:
Trento and Bolzano are now occupied
17 Aug. 1944:
Venice is taken back
A counterattack is ordered, but nothing can be done against the Italian troops.
18 Aug. 1944:
With Tyrol and Venice under control, the offensive continues towards Friul
19 Aug. 1944
The Austrians fall back from Belluno
20 Aug. 1944:
An attack is launched against Bolzano, trying to take advantage from the massive support in the battle for Belluno. (Why the heck?)
21 Aug. 1944:
Overwhelmed, the Austrians retreat from Udine. Slowly but steadly, the pre - Weltkrieg borers are being restored.
24 Aug. 1944:
Udine is now occupied
Trieste is then the next Italian target
The Austrians now do not even try to oppose any resistance now
26 Aug. 1944: Now only Venetia Iulia remains to be brought into the arms of Rome. Capodistria is attacked
28 Aug. 1944:
Capodistria has fallen
29 Aug. 1944
And it is occupied
Only Pola is now left
30 Aug. 1944:
Pola falls, and with it also the Austrian foot in the Mediterranean
A counterattack is ordered against Capodistria, but nothing can be done to save what remains of the Austrian Navy.
2 Sept. 1944:
Pola is now occupied. The Austrians immediately contact Rome for an armistice: the war is won, the result of the Weltkrieg cancelled.
15 Sept. 1944:
In the aftermath of the Italo-Austrian war, which ended in great favour of Rome, a lot of patriots go celebrating in Venice for their motherland having freed them (my english is rusty)
25 Sept. 1944:
The italianification is proclaimed also in Pola
27 Sept. 1944:
The process of unification of irredentism is not over yet: now it is war against Croatia, to take back the Dalmatian lands that were owned by Venice (note: in the future you will see an event that proclaims these provinces as cores. It was a test, first custom event, which I hope will be recurrent in my next games)
The strategy is simple, just overwhelm and occupy key zones
After just 10 hours, the Croats give up

With the reunification of Italia Irredenta in Europe, it is now time to focus elsewhere

While the third Franco-German war was going on, the Spanish civil war was looking far from an end. After the defeat of France, however, the legitimate government was able to submit both enemy factions. While mercy was used with the Carlists, the key men of the Anarchist front were executed.
With the Carlists removed from the scenario, there was a problem for the newborn Italy: the domination of Mediterranean passed from the possession of Gibraltar.
Gibraltar was officially claimed, and a letter was sent to Madrid, where it was asked to let Italy control the area in order to guarantee the security of the seas
The Spaniards refused, outraged

As a reaction to the Spaniard refuse, war was declared
The army is ordered to cross the Pyrenees
30 Dec. 1944:
Lerida is the first Spanish territory to be seized - without firing a shell

So are you planning to occupy the Balearics (and possibly Catalonia as well, given that Aragon was heavily involved in Italian affairs (thanks to the Two Sicilies))

And well, for my programs about spain, you will see
Keeping Catalunia and puppetting the rest would be a semi-realistic idea ( for Kaiserreich standard regarding self determination of nations is completely fine, just teach italian to catalans and in 3-4 generations is done )

I think: unification ( roughly 80 base IC with the investments) + south France + a couple of years of IC build.

Unification gives a lot as in the end there are two Italies at the beginning trying to prevail one on each other, then the Trivenetum area (the lands I took from Austria) are heavily industrialized. South of France is a good boost and then I went with IC run while I had to get enough manpower for my army, which was in a terrible state after the third Franco - German war
Molto excellente! Avanti! And avenge those dastardly Spaniards for ruining Sicily.
They ruined the whole south Italy, despite a lot of people there find easier to blame the Savoian house, expecially in the area of Naples
And please, do not think to exchange freely Italian and Spanish

While the Spanish army is caught by surprise by the news (ok, I had +125 relation with them, but I have always seen garrisoned borders!), the Italian army marches on Huesca

The Italians reach the Cantabric Chain, Bilbao
4th Jan. 1945:
The first battle lightens up: a division is caught by 10 times major Italian forces, while 17 other divisions are marching towards the front
In the night also the battle for Zaragoza flares, with now 6 enemy divisions involved
8 Jan. 1945:
Soria falls
11 Jan. 1945:
The Italian forces of Badoglio try to advance towards Guadalajara, in order to try to pocket the majority of the Spanish army. They immediately retreat
13 Jan. 1945
The Italian advance looks impossible to stop: Burgos is occupied and Segovia is immediately in sight.
16 Jan. 1945
The great battle of Zaragoza is won, but at a very high price. German reinforcements are coming
