I'm looking for the opinions of others on this one.

It seems to me that there are two main paths to take, playing as the United Kingdom: taking militancy and taking consciousness. Which is better for this nation in the long term?

I obviously cannot give a definitive answer as I only had one playthrough as the UK (with the Concert of Europe mod). What I noticed however was a major problem with militancy in India, even after I edit the files to make the events fire less often. I was basically forced to take the low militancy option (regarding India) virtually every time to prevent 200k uprising in India. Consciousness seemed to be less of an issue.
Though on the British Ilses I had a big problem with reform desire, so less conciousness there would have been preferable.

So I would say that there isn't a clear answer and it really depends on how your playthrough is developing.

the latter?

Militancy is idealy something you want low unless you really wanna push through reforms right then and there without the erequired liberal numbers
