My game is crashing more often now ;(New update is live now!
The engine is updated to Unity 4.2. This should fix many different issues including: random crashes with some users, audio stuttering, improper shutdown. Please let us know if any problems persist!
This patch:
1. I no longer have fast speed, just slow speed
2. It still requires a Force Quit on my mac
Could you check this issue out? I dont mind force quit, but I really miss the fast speed.
I'm experiencing the same "speed setting" issue on my Mac since I bought the Metro Madness DLC![]()
Hi
you know, the speed setting issue, I found, is just with one city -- the one city I was playing before the patch and buying the DLC. I started a new city and the speed settings works correctly. But when I go back to the one city I was playing before the patch, the speed settings still do not work. The city is stuck on slow speed.
Is it the same with you?
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Saved games might have been corrupted with the update and that has caused the problem with the speed settings.
Hi
Will a future fix be in the offering? Or are we stuck with corrupted saved games?
I'm not sure if the old saves can be fixed. Does this still happen to you with newer saves? Or is it the saves before the update that are causing a problem?
As you are running the game with 32 bit version of Windows the problem may be that by default it limits RAM usage for a single application to 2GB.
There is a way to increase this limit that seems to help with some people, but there is a risk that it causes other stability problems with your system so use it with caution:
Open console (cmd.exe) as administrator, run the following command and reboot:
bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072
Note that this changes the setting permanently, in case it causes any problems with your system you need to run the command again to set it back to default:
bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2048
http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/cities-in-motion-12-will-come-to-linux-from-paradox.2343/Since the game engine is Unity, why is there not a Linux version of Cities in Motion 2? Particularly considering that both Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings II are available on Linux. Using Unity should be far easier to distribute on Linux than Clauswitz.
I am simply disappointed.
Minimum requirements for this game say you need:
1GB RAM,
Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Win Xp 32
DX 9
2 GB
I have 4GB RAM, Pentium Core i3 540 @ 3.07GHz, Win 7 32bit, the newest DX and enough space.
The game crashed AT LOADING with the following in crash log:
[ ALLOC_PROFILER ] used: 72B | peak: 0B | reserved: 4194304B
Could not allocate memory: System out of memory!
Trying to allocate: 212112B with 32 alignment. MemoryLabel: VertexData

I have the lowest possible settings and it keeps crashing. I have a game over Steam and I have all updates installed.
What else can I do ? I would really love to play this game!View attachment 89572View attachment 89573
Your suffering from not enough memory to run the game. To reduce this, do as slornie said above and also open task manager and 'end task' any background processes that aren't system related. Ensure your system tray (bottom right corner) has no icons other than the windows default (ie. clock, speaker, internet) and antivirus in it. Try to ensure that CIM2 is the only thing running at the time of playing, even keep your steam client closed and run the game via a desktop shortcut.
