Patch broke metaserver log in.

Hi there.

My friends and I bought the game recently on steam and enjoyed multiplayer via the metaserver. Since the update we've been unable to log in, and can't find any information about this anywhere. We haven't bought Swords of Islam.

I can't find any information about this sudden error, and since the update we'd been hoping it would fix itself. Has anyone any idea what this could be?

The metaserver has to be updated after each patch, I would imagine this has not yet occurred for 1.06b . You can still play via Direct IP of course - all the metaserver really does is connect you to each other.

Direct IP? I am probably an idiot for asking this, but how do you do that?

Click on Multiplayer button in the main game menu. The host uses the "Create game" option, the others use the "Join internet game" option once he's done it. The only further quirk is that the host needs to determine his real external IP address and email it to the other players to use, not his local IP address. www.whatismyip.com will show him that.
