What's the logic of this, might I ask? After all the other skirmish nerfs this seems pretty severe. Why would anyone want skrimish troops now? They're weaker, and no longer the best troops for sieges. Now Heavy Cavalry are the best siege troop in the game =\- Siege assault battles now use the Melee combat values on the troops instead of the Skirmish combat values.
Lulz. In that case the next DLC had BETTER add in empire management mechanics, or this game is going to be broken for a while.It probably won't...

Well historically speaking that's pretty much what happened.
While I'm happy about the Archer nerf, isn't that too much? With those the Archer is going to strictly worse than the Light Cavalry during the Skirmish phase (same attack, same maintenance, worse defense).- Light Cavalry - Skirmish Attack reduced to 2 (down from 2.5).
- Archer - Maintenance increased to 2 (up from 1).
- Archer - Skirmish Attack reduced to 2 (down from 5).
- Archer - Skirmish Defense reduced to 1 (down from 3).
We'll have to see how easily clans break away when they aren't kept satisfied once horse lords has been launched.And then it wasn't. Which is the point; unless you want the world turned white, this is going to be something of a problem.

- Rebalanced troop stats:
- Light Infantry - Skirmish Attack reduced to 1 (down from 2).
- Light Infantry - Skirmish Defense reduced to 2 (down from 2.5).
- Light Infantry - Melee Attack reduced to 1 (down from 3).
- Light Infantry - Pursue Attack reduced to 2 (down from 3).
- Light Infantry - Pursue Defense reduced to 2 (down from 3).
- Blocked impregnation by female lovers or modded female 'husbands'
- The lustful cabin can no longer cause multiple pregnancies or create children between two female lovers
