I was unable to duplicate this problem for 2.2, and so were all of the beta testers. I really need a save prior to this occurring, or specific details about how and when it happens.

For me it always happen if I start a game and then resign and then start a new game. In that situation I will have that problem for the regional revolters (and if I select a time in which Galatia and Cyrenaica is independent they will only be called Galatia and Cyrenaica, and not Celtic Galatia and Greek Cyrenaica which they are called otherwise when this problem does not occur).

Noted a difference in savegames, in those without the problem, the regional countries such as QRO will have a line saying which region they are for, which they don't have in a savegame in which this problem occurs.

Adding some more I almost forgot about:

The game crashes often on 1st January when autosave is on (I turned it off long time ago because of it).

Character in monarchy retains minor titles when becoming the ruler. Its kinda strange when he remains his own cupbearer, physician etc.
There is no province religious conversion event for religions of the Paganic group (Druidism, Animism, Shamanism), so they have little options how to bypass the different religion tax penalty.

Wondering if there is a follow up to the ruler ambition being too prevalent - for Rome the Pontifex Maximus role is expected to be for life, but there seems to be just as many that want that job as all the other research roles that you can freely rotate every 2 years which leads to this ambition basically being a dead end that you can't really do much with.

It's perfectly possible to sack him you know. I do this a lot as carthage as you can make him elder (censor? haven't played as rome much) and then general at age 27...

A truly minor point about confusing tooltip with laws. When you look at the lex_aelia_et_fufia the text says member of relious party where NOT member is the condition. It works fine is just confusingly labelled.

Another truly minor is when I resigned one Censor I had the remaining one displayed twice. However, closing the Government screen and reentering it shows the empty slot as should be.

I'm amazed and glad that the game is still supported, even though I only bought it recently, but I'm confused why the slowness of the character window after opening it past the first time is not #1 on the bug fixes?

Is it an engine problem that is too costly to fix?
Is paradox not able to reproduce it?
I could understand this being acceptable if it was a huge graphic/cpu intensive thing to render a window with a list of characters...but it isn't or shouldn't be..this game isn't/shouldn't be that resource intensive should it???

Another probable bug concerns military leaders proposed by the senate not always getting their former general / former admiral titles.

I had an admiral proposed by the Senate whom I accepted left in command of this fleet for some 6 years and then resigned him to fulfill his ambition as a regional governor. As governor he had no sign of former admiral and I could not assign a commend after his resignation as governor.

I am not sure whether it occured to me before. Have others experienced this?

This happens to me a lot. Always a big disappointment after the big dance I perform when the senate has alloted my 18 year old martial 10 military faction member general.'

Not sure if it's related but the ruler won't always be shown to be leading any troops/navies even when he does if he was elected while already doing so.

Event 4002 - Province cultural chage - has trigger condition NOT = { civilization_value = 90 } but it has chance modifier = { civilization_value = 90 factor = 0.9} at the same time. One of them is maybe redundant.

i noticed that, too - but not really reproducable and so i was not sure about that.
it seems, if you REPLACE a general with another char, sometimes the former general not get the ex_general title. if you the general let dismiss and bring a char in a second click into command, i never noticed that. but thats highly speculative...

I think this is redundant on purpose, the reason being that if the devs or a modder decide to remove the 90 civ culture change limit, the progressive bonus for civ values is still in place without needing to be coded again. I think I noticed other instances of this kind of redundant programming elsewhere too.

Last time I looked through the game files, I noticed a lot of errors and logical mistakes too, but they are so minor and on events that are so rare that I don't think it's worth the devs' attention. For example, the first bankruptcy event in the bankruptcy file gives you a lower chance of getting free gold if as your stability went higher from 1 to 3 (which seems intended) but would lower your chances as you went from -1 to -3. The latter part seems unintended, since the rest of the event gives you a better chance if your rulers skills are more worthless, giving bonuses for being low skilled and penalties for being high skilled. But it's so rare and so minor that nobody would probably ever notice without looking at the game files.

Another one: when usurpers win a civil war and become the vanilla version, threat is not cleared, so they 'feel threatened by' themselves.

Speaking of rebels, something should really be done about long-term rebel held provinces (like the possibility of defection). Corsica has been rebel held without interruption for almost a century in my current game.

Rhodes in my game has been rebel held (from the Macedonian Rebels, no less, which has prolonged their Civil War accordingly) for over a century in mine as well. One would think it would have broken and reformed Rhodes again by now.

Just been having this too..
