Patch 2.04d Info

returning to the subject of loading 2.04d, I tried from the HOI3 launcher. I clicked on new stuff and it came up as SF 2 - closed launcher and started download this the crashed about halfway through at about 1.5 hours tried to click on the box to tell me problem but it just disappeared.
1) This appeared as an updated SF - SF2 not a patch
2) where can I get the patch alone, if there is one. I searched gamers gate but they have no record of it. Or is it necessary to download an updater SF

Since there has been over a month and my question is still unanswered. Allow me to repeat.
Is it recommended to install 2.04e beta hot fix? I'm somewhat worried about the word BETA.
It's kind of lame that because I am not certain what to do, I can't play the game. Because every time you apply a patch, you have to start a new game.

My current version is 2.04d AJBM and if it is recommended to install 2.04e BETA, will I have troubles updating when in the future a newer version comes along via the game launcher? (Since it already has trouble with version numbers, see page 1 of this thread)

you can always backup the original and yes it is recommended to install the 2.04e beta but never forget it is just a beta and you might encounter problems (i have seen none) but it also fixes one very annoying bug.

No need to Zip entire folder. Just copy/paste it to another location.

why zip it? just copy...
read the changelog it was something with the AI signing impossible alliances.

old thread but I had missed this. the main fix for 2.04e was crashes on older computers. so if the game runs in 2.04d there is no pressing reason to update to the beta hotfix. it also fixed an issue with alliances, but its not really a problem outside being able to exploit it in MP.
There will be a 2.04f at some point in the upcoming weeks that fixes supply issues and some crashes but I have no exact date yet, it depends when we squashed out some random crash still appearing.

those alliances can be very annoying. for example when you attack poland as germany without having italy in the axis it sometimes causes italy to declare war on you.
also that italy allies albania is problematic.

I'm looking forward to the 2.04f release. I run SF with 2.04e and am plagued with random crashes.

Then I'll be waiting for 2.04f before I start my first game with HOI-3. Funny, I bought it on release date for 50 € and never got to play the game because I always want to wait for a final patch.

hoi3 has its final patch: it is called 1.4...

Well I think that Semper Fi was a patch and should not have been sold as a DLC. Further, I don't like the way HOI changed to selling DLCs. Now they want to sell us that Motherland DLC. So I think that was my last HOI game. I'm disappointed in HOI3 to be honest. Paid 70 € now and still no fun and not finished.

Personally, I wouldn't call expansions "DLC". They're expansions, the scope far exceeds that of any DLC.
