We are currently looking into some issues that seem to be related to the launcher!
Known related issues:
- Graphical Glitches with Linux and MacOS X
We are looking into it. Please post your computer specs on these forums and turn off shadows in-game to get rid of it for now.
- DLC's does not appear as they should in the launcher - should be solved
- Game is crashing when you click "Play" and you have mods downloaded, but not enabled
It seems that the launcher doesn't always disable/enable mods according to your selections. If you bypass the launcher you should by default get into a game with all your purchased DLC's active and all mods disabled. This should allow you to play the full game until we sorted out whatever issues the launcher is having.
To bypass the launcher, go to <your Steam installation folder>\SteamApps\common\Europa Universalis IV and create a shortcut for eu4.exe that you place on your desktop or wherever you feel it fits best.
Right click the shortcut and select 'Properties'. In the 'Target' field, at the very end, after ...\Europa Universalis IV\eu4.exe", add -skiplauncher so it looks something like this:
...\Europa Universalis IV\eu4.exe" -skiplauncher
Start the game using this shortcut!
- There is also an issue with diplo-annexing lesser partners in a union. This we know of and we are working on it to be resolved asap! Please be patient. - should be solved
- Launcher is stuck down the bottom right corner, cannot see or click on "Play"
This happens when Windows is set to 150% font size. You can use the -skiplauncher trick above, or disable the 150% setting (125% or 100% work fine) in Windows until this is fixed.
- Autosaves happen on-screen, but no files are created. Ironman only.
No fix currently. For some people manual saves work OK, others not. This issue is under investigation at the moment.
