Some Excellent Ideas Here
I'm very impressed with the suggestions offered here, and I hope at least some of them can be implented (barring that, PLEASE fix this issue in the expansion version). For myself, I applaud the CONCEPT of making logistics an integral part of warfare strategy, forcing the player to deal with such issues. Thus, HOI3 gets my praise for attempting to translate that CONCEPT into reality. But the EXECUTION of that concept is seriously flawed. One post mentioned the frustration of being at the mercy of a supply system that the player has virtually no control over. That's a great point, but the situation is even worse than that. We're also at the mercy of a supply system that we can't even understand. I hate to say this (and I'm exaggerating for effect but only very slightly), but it looks to me as if the person who designed the supply system for HOI3 was actually a double agent for another game company whose mission was to make sure that HOI3 failed.
