You're giving a very narrow view of what "unplayable" means. I'm of the opinion that HoI3 fit into that description just fine. I wanted to play the game, but it hasn't performed well enough on multiple levels, so it was unplayable for me. Semantics. For actual people it tends to have the same meaning.Unplayable would mean to many people that the game crashes often, broken systems that do not function or very poorly if at all, etc. There have been many games (unfortunately) that have been relesed in that state.(Even worse, I have bought a few, lol). HoI3 did not fall into that group.
Paradox is working on it and many things will be fixed no doubt. They will then (probably) charge for some sizable things in an expansion. It's common for developers to do this nowadays, even though I find it to be an annoying way to do business.
Regarding the last sentence there..., I'm just going to do this smiley:I just do not want people that have not tried the game yet to think it is totally broken versus not being fun for some. Not playable versus not being fun are two totally different game states.
Anyhow, game's in longterm storage since 1.3. It would be nice if it would change soon™.
