Patch 1.19 Thoughts

Stronger Scandinavia will probably mostly mean that Muscovy gets nerfed. Everytime Denmark does well in my single player games it expands into Novgorod -> taking vital provinces away from Muscovy. I guess we will see this way more often now.
I don't think that the provence-change will change the France-England dynamic much but the wastelands in the pyrenees might indeed keep Spain in Spain and France in France since both sides can now be more easily defended if you build forts there.

The new wastelands look amazing, and should add much more strategic depth to European warfare. Hopefully there is an option to toggle on/off the new wasteland appearance though. Any word from devs on this?

Meanwhile we are working on a 1.19 patch that we aim to have in public beta in the second week of November, with a final release before the end of the month.

1. Scandinavia - Langfjella and the Scands.
2. Iberia/France - the Pyrenees.
3. Circassia/Georgia - the Caucuses.
4. Italy/HRE - the Alps.
5. Lithuania/Moldavia - Carpathian wasteland.
6. Morocco - High Atlas.

I thought so too, but I saw only the Scands in later screenshots.
I therefor assumed there is only one wasteland, but they changed its location and name [hence the "?"].

in the other screenshots, the coloured wasteland is on so that will be why you never noticed Jotunheimen

You may very well be right; as it can simply be that they just changed the wasteland's name.

As I said in the other thread, the Alps like they are make little sense. There's no wasteland for the Eastern Alps, there's no Ticino so the pass opens into Milan directly, and the most important pass into the Po Valley from Tyrol - Valtellina - is instead completely wasteland. The effort is appreciated; the result isn't.
