Overall nothing too crazy but I'm happy to see Shamanist religion gone. It was a pointless relic of a pre-1.4 era (when it also encompassed north america) and less than a dozen primitive states had it by 1.15 (three kongolese, five siberian, some other minor). It was useless, and fetishist has much cooler bonus anyway.
"Oghuz Culture Group removed. Azeri culture is now in the Iranian group, Turkmen culture is in the Altaic group and Turkish culture moved to the Levantine [Arabian] Group."
I guess devs decided to sacrifice realism on the altar of balance, so now Ottomans are in the same group as the areas they usually conquer (Syria, Egypt) while Azeri/Iranian people are in the same group so whether one of them conquers another they have it easier to maintain an empire.
Also, I don't know much about Azeri history, but while I recall Azeri people are linguistically and genetically close to Turks, weren't they historically almost always closer to Iranian states? (Ottoman empire contained Azerbeijan only very briefly) Anyway they seemed for me to share huge part of heritage with Iranians. So Paradox decision isn't that crazy.
