Hm, Wiz... you said Lithuania would get a big downgrade in 1.16 and that's great, but while we're waiting for that, you decided to buff them to 1.13's 346 dev again? Pretty sure they were ate 310 or something in 1.14.

Could it be that someone assigned the shortcuts for the 'a' and the 's' key to the wrong functions? The keys on the keyboard are (in order from left to right) 'a', 's', and 'd'. In the game, however 's' is assigned to the diplomacy button on the left, 'a' to the one in the middle, and 'd' to the one on the right. Surely that's not intentional.

- It is now possible to use historical country names in random/default setup (ie 'Corsica' instead of 'New Corsica').
The game won't allow the use of historical country names though, it still forces you to name it New -Something-

Oh, but, why doesn't it happen in all the setups? Does something break if I name a country the same as its historical counterpart?

There are issues with having two countries named the exact same thing, yes.

I've always thought the game operates on tags, and actual names are purely visual things for us puny humans. That's pretty interesting.

I've always thought the game operates on tags, and actual names are purely visual things for us puny humans. That's pretty interesting.

It's not that we use name lookup in the mechanics or anything, it's that there are various places in the code that expect/enforce no duplicate names for the sake of UI presentation.

I just realized that there are no longer two separate difficulty settings. Previously there were AI Difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard) and AI Bonuses as separate settings, weren't there? Is this a recent change or am I just out of the loop here?

The difficulty settings were consolidated. Hard is now a mix of the old Hard (but with less AE) and AI bonuses (but with more targeted bonuses to cover up weak areas rather than blanket bonuses).
