Sorry to say, I have very mixed, if not negative feelings about the patch.
The new notifications are great - I like being able to know that I still need to core. Stability may be a bit over the top (it's right there at the top and normal EU4 users always keep an eye on it).
The more visible morale bar is great too. I usually sat staring at the screen going ... "Wait, am I full morale now?"
But I have problems with some other features. I'll start with least annoying to most annoying.
* Could you please put the "standard" call all allies that want to join" feature on? Half of the time, I just forget.
* It's weird to see the potential tax value of a province hidden. When colonizing in history, at least they had an idea where rich provinces were from stories ...
* Military leaders : Getting more than one general costs you military points? Fine. But why does getting an admiral and a general cost you one military point a month? For coastal nations, I find this too much. I always like at least an admiral for my ships, just to protect them.
* Just some background : let me say that I find Kongo/native isolated nations quite boring. You just wait and wait and wait for colonization with nothing much to do.
* That being said, "your allies will not join you in a new offensive war for 10 years" - reason being "not using them as a wrecking ball". I can understand the last part, but wasn't war exhaustion, loand and allies changing from friendly to defensive already a part of that? This makes expansion in the HRE just unplayable for me - and as boring as a colonizing nation. I'm just sitting there, with 4 allies as Aachen, doing nothing for 8 years.
If I read this correctly, I can do a total of more or less 50 wars as a nation, unless I constantly change allies ... Or create 4 vassals instead of 4 allies, because they will always join?
And I haven't played recently as a central american nation yet, but I assume that with the "Doom" mechanic, this is just devastating!
* But the biggest one is last : the "attitude towards enemies" penalty. A nation doesn't want to help me when attacking one of its enemies? I'm fine with that.
In my recent games however, I couldn't get ANYONE to join, even after the 10 year period above, because of "attitude towards enemies". Even though the nation I was attacking WASN'T an enemy... The same happened playing as Karaman. Aq Quonlyu nor Candar wished to join my war against Ramazan, even though all three were friendly and didn't have Ramazan as enemy. Am I missing something here?
I had great fun before the patch. I don't want to be a sourpuss and will adapt to newer versions, but haven't you taken this a bit too far?
