After looking at the changes to Mandate of heaven in-game, I'm in favor of repealing it. The rebels spawn too fast for Ming to even make an attempt at dealing with them. The country broke a few years after losing the mandate. Not sure that was a good change.

Finally buddhism is viable.

Still not good. Though it's easier to stay out of the malus zone than before (where it was simply impossible).

Where does it say that the bonus is flat?
It doesn't I know by playing the patch. Keeping the natives alive is much worse now.

I'm not forgetting anything, because I have no experiences of the game being broken. After a couple hundred hours with both 1.12 and the 1.13 beta they have been completely playable without any problems. I've been running continual MP games with 5+ since CS was released without any serious OOS incident's, nothing that couldn't be resolved by a rehost when it did occur anyway and absolutely no worse than it was before this version. Although the fort system had its faults it wasn't game breaking for 99% of the time and as you said land locking was fixed within 1 week. A broken mechanic does not mean the entire game is broken, the game being broken is when it CTD's continually or is otherwise unplayable, neither of these things were or are the case.

5+ players is relatively small compared to the average games. An OOS shouldn't occur and I do not accept constant rehosts for OOS. But the most important thing is I never said the game was broken. I said it needed to be fixed sooner and they didn't do it in an acceptable timeframe. There were so many countless little bugs and broken mechanics everywhere that didn't break the game, but they needed to be fixed, and taking 3 months to fully repair these bugs is ridiculous. It's as if they're shoving small pieces of broken glass under the carpet at the expense of our feet, when they should be sweeping it up with a dustpan. Sure, it wont break our feet, but the carpet will be extremely chunky and someone could cut themselves.

Coalition Now needs 50AE...thats too much for restricting other Blobs from expanding aggressively...As AI nations will not join the coalition against them...IMO 30 was perfect..

30 had the problem of 'Ulm takes 1 provinces; entire HRE coalitions'. 50 probobly isn't high enough to stop the entire HRE coalitioning France if they take a bite.

There should no longer be a 1.13 beta listed in Steam. You could try an earlier version, like 1.12.2, and then switching back to the current.

Would make sense if paradox hasn't screwed around with ae in general but now you have to be really ignorant to have a coaltion.

I'm pretty torn on the AE. On the one hand it'll be very nice to not see the AI get destroyed by tons of coalitions. On the other hand concerns about coalitions are basically the only limiting factor for me.

For me some of the biggest fun is watching France and the HRE [In the sense of Austria] both explode in the same coalition war. And then watching new powers emerge.

For sure. I'm thinking more about little states like Holland that I see grab one or two provinces and then suddenly they lose everything to a coalition. I'm totally fine with countries ganging up on the likes of France.

They don't though. Just had Burgundy take Paris, Champagne, Vernandois and Lyonnais in one war and no one had enough AE to form a coalition. Just had Venice full annex Milan in one war and there wasn't enough AE (before Shadow kingdom).

I'm not sure coalitions as they were brought what it was supposed to, but I feel this changed AE so much that it's just irrelevant except if you're a big blob like the Ottomans (AE malus from religion) eating through Europe. What's the point of the system now?

IMO the 30->50 change is something that's quite often been an issue with EU4 patches: overcompensation. Arguably 30 resulted in too many coalitions, but 50 allows almost double the expansion before coalitions become a problem. In fact, considering that the faster you expand the more distance modifiers will necessarily play a part, it may well allow more than double. This happens time and again: when some number is "reduced" or "increased" in patch notes, it's often by a factor of two or even more. Are the numbers *really* that off in the first place? Sometimes, sure, but probably not always.

In practice I don't really mind, since I'm not interested in getting that one perfect version of EU4, I'd rather have to adjust to changes.

Sorry to say, I have very mixed, if not negative feelings about the patch.

The new notifications are great - I like being able to know that I still need to core. Stability may be a bit over the top (it's right there at the top and normal EU4 users always keep an eye on it).
The more visible morale bar is great too. I usually sat staring at the screen going ... "Wait, am I full morale now?"

But I have problems with some other features. I'll start with least annoying to most annoying.

* Could you please put the "standard" call all allies that want to join" feature on? Half of the time, I just forget.

* It's weird to see the potential tax value of a province hidden. When colonizing in history, at least they had an idea where rich provinces were from stories ...

* Military leaders : Getting more than one general costs you military points? Fine. But why does getting an admiral and a general cost you one military point a month? For coastal nations, I find this too much. I always like at least an admiral for my ships, just to protect them.

* Just some background : let me say that I find Kongo/native isolated nations quite boring. You just wait and wait and wait for colonization with nothing much to do.

* That being said, "your allies will not join you in a new offensive war for 10 years" - reason being "not using them as a wrecking ball". I can understand the last part, but wasn't war exhaustion, loand and allies changing from friendly to defensive already a part of that? This makes expansion in the HRE just unplayable for me - and as boring as a colonizing nation. I'm just sitting there, with 4 allies as Aachen, doing nothing for 8 years.
If I read this correctly, I can do a total of more or less 50 wars as a nation, unless I constantly change allies ... Or create 4 vassals instead of 4 allies, because they will always join?
And I haven't played recently as a central american nation yet, but I assume that with the "Doom" mechanic, this is just devastating!

* But the biggest one is last : the "attitude towards enemies" penalty. A nation doesn't want to help me when attacking one of its enemies? I'm fine with that.
In my recent games however, I couldn't get ANYONE to join, even after the 10 year period above, because of "attitude towards enemies". Even though the nation I was attacking WASN'T an enemy... The same happened playing as Karaman. Aq Quonlyu nor Candar wished to join my war against Ramazan, even though all three were friendly and didn't have Ramazan as enemy. Am I missing something here?

I had great fun before the patch. I don't want to be a sourpuss and will adapt to newer versions, but haven't you taken this a bit too far?
