I want it to be easier to balance the budget (at leaste have no more than -50) for the larger nations in the beginning but a more moderate income later in the game. I'm always drowning in cash after 10 years not knowing what to do with it...

Taking losses in combat should make you loose people in your soldier POPS.

That way, if you take large losses in the field and wish to have the manpower to replace them, you'll need to start converting your other POPs to soldiers to cover the losses, which seems a reasonable consequence to me.

Having popups appear BEHIND the ones already on screen. You usually won't notice it, since at least I clear the screen of popups, but you don't run the risk of incidentally pressing RETURN, without being able to read the text of the popup, if something comes up the moment you press return.

Other than that, redo the peace system to make it possible to actually win something in a peace against huge nations without having to occupy the whole country! I'm talking Great Britain. It doesn't really seem to matter how badly beat up they get, they still refuse to part with anything.

(I'm seing the same scenario for the US, also, not to mention Russia, which I haven't had the opportunity to try, yet)

Hi,

A few wishes:

1. Introduce high penalties for large troop numbers. Either by dramatically increasing the militancy of every anti-military POP, or by severely hampering production. The number of divisions simply has to go down.

2. Rework the Unification of Germany events. Either they're botched or pretty unclear. In a game as Prussia, that became Germany, I didn't manage to reunite, even after I took Paris in a self-declared Franco-Prusso war. So I had to take the NGF by force.

3. I'm not sure whether it's implemented today or not, but combat losses should have a direct effect on population.

cheers/EoE

i understand that this is going to be tricky but i would like the ai to "understand" the concept of a front better, thus ridding us of these unfortunate wars where the austrian army is capturing provinces in caucasus while while russia is stomping on vienna

better music would be nice as well but for obvious reasons i dont see this happening

About the DI gain rate...no!! There are so many things you could exploit if the DI rate was too high.
And if you have to wait six months to go to war...well, it seems reasonable. Sometimes you gotta convince the ruling parties, and the generals, and the people that going to war is a good thing.

I agree about the "convince your ppl argument".
But i think it would be better if war declaration was free.
I mean, its not like you need influence to declare war.
Just say FU and attack :)

Adding your own music is fairly simple, so there is no reason you can't do this yourself ;)

After all, music is about as individual a thing as it comes regarding a game as this :)

How about changing some of the color settings for various ethnicities. Some of those are extremely difficult to distinguish from one another.

as its now they are all "grey" and cant be selected when you offer tribute.

Yeah, maybe some of these really should be greyed out to prevent people from exploiting AI, but if the AI can place a more or less correct value on these options, then they should be allowed. And they should be allowed in MP in any case.

I'd really like to be able to right click somewhere on the ledger and be able to select straight away the page I want to be on..
Like in EU2. It takes ages to click through all the pages of the ledger.. Yes, I know there are a few shortcuts at the bottom of the ledger.. But still.

Can't you convert either them or others into craftsmen?

It does sound strange tho' if everyone in factories are clerks...

Not going to happen that way, since there are now righ-click menus for upgrading things in ledger.

What was suggested was to have those menus when clicking on tabs on bottom, summary, economy, military etc. I think that would be a good one.
