Hello everyone,

I established my own kingdom by myself, and captured 2 castles. After a while I decided to recruit a lord. My question is - can I pass one of the two castles to him? I really want him to protect it....

Yes you can, can also make your companion Lord. =)

Thanks, figured it out myself by now

P.S This game is really buggy... it constantly crashes and slows down, so i'll leave it for a while. I hope they fix it soon.

Reduce HDR or turning off pixel shader really help reduce their occurence. Also make sure you have latest driver and directx.

And if you an ATI user, turning off ATI hotkey poller in msconfig services tab seem to help also.

I think some of the old features are still bugged. its like they re-did the entire AI code.
I played the original M&B and I'm really surprised to see the AI during sieges still tries to run sideways up the ladder and then gets stuck in the middle of the ladder. It's like watching the AI run into a invisible wall over and over and over again.

I already created him and gave him a castle, but doens'nt have a town yet...

How do I recruit a lord exactly?

I only managed to recruit a companion and make him lord.

No other lords wants to join me (regardless of how powerful I am, how big my realm is, how persuasive I am, etc...)

I think for lord to join you, you need a certain amount of right to rule. BUT I'm not sure, since the Lords from "my" old kingdom, I have good relations with, don't want to talk with me anymore....

I'm guessing no, but I'd be cool.

Every companion turned vassal gains a banner (I think they are random). Sometimes you get nifty combinations.

Anyone knows how to raise Right to Rule? Mine's at 9 and never seems to get higher, no matter how many vassals I get, lands I own, if I get married, make war/peace/conquest, etc...

From memory(I'm at work). Companions can go on missions to spread the word about your awesomeness, once for each companion I think. You can send a companion to another faction as an emissary and kiss arse, rarely works(maybe sending companions to their "matching faction" helps). End of a war should provide right to rule, at least I know I get it every time the ai sues for peace.

Probably other ways I forgot, mine is 89ish and I haven't really paid attention to how I got most of it.

I think that each peace signed by your faction gives 3 RtR.

So in other words, I should not conquer whole nations in order to unify Calradia, but instead conquer a city/castle, wait a very long time until the AI sues for peace and then wait for 40 more days for the truce to go away and conquer another castle and repeat?

Why can I not get my right to rule for conquering Calradia?

A successful campaign as a marshall might also increase the right to rule. Did a couple of them and had the message "increased right of rule" or stuff every time.
