Given the current peace conference design, how is it going to be possible to divide up one alliance (for example, the Axis) among two alliances (Allies and Comintern)? as far as I've seen, peace conferences are limited to one alliance.

They said at some point there would be some special mechanics in place for "common enemies", but that you couldnt ally another alliance for example. Atleast from the german side the german-soviet war is a seperate one, even tho the soviet union technicly was part of the allies. Technicly because they were more or less forced allies than anything else, thus i like the 3 (main) faction system in HoI.

That of course brings problem with it when it comes to history. For example, the soviet union invaded poland days after the germans did and the western allies looked away when that happened. Ingame, if the soviet union would decide to attack a guaranteed poland they would of course be at war with the allies aswell. In HoI the soviet union does nothing but still demands it half of poland.

It could of course simply be a case of who ever gets there first. The only reason the whole of europe wasnt communist was because the western allies managed to occupy so much territory. I bet it will work similar to EUIV, where you cant demand territory occupied by another country in an seperate war.

I highly doubt that they made so that Germany can't be divided between Russia and the West.

If we think about a fairly historical game- Russia would have possession of East Germany. The Allies then partition West Germany for Brits in the north and US middle and south.

Berlin though ! Is Berlin more than one province? ;)
