OMG. People are actually praising this horrible solution to partisans. AS IF partisans would be able to, several times a year i might add, muster the strength AND organisation to form up till 8 MIL divisions with matching theater, group, army and corp HQ. This is rediculous.
And before someone throws up "Thats what MPs' are for" i can tell you i have 50 + MP brigades all over europe and they do nothing what so ever. I have them on red and yellow areas, and still these superhuman resistances pops up. Ex. Denmark had a resistance, but nothing near this big and organized.
Im not argumenting for the historical correct approach, but this is just silly. Of all solutions to emulate partisans they could have come up with, this is by far the worst.
Partisans would at most create problems for supply, command, organisation, or deliver intelligence. Each country should have a resistance factor which would determine how much resistance a country could make, perhaps depending on the organisation and size of parties.
THIS IS NOT VICKY OR EU3, the timeframe is too short for large uprisings on this big a scale. There is not enough time for citizens to build up the ability to do this, they are in chok, and the very few examples there where was killed of in a jiffy.
The game doesn't give the player the ability to counter it without weakening his military ability, which in MP would make it next to impossible for the axis team to go up against an allied team, as now too much of the axis IC's would go to providing anti partisan units for the occupied territories which would not be a need the allied has.
Hopefully ICE will mod this out, as it is ruining gameplay just as it does in EU3, rebels constantly popping up everywhere, grinding them down again, then they pop up again aaaaaand repeat until bored.
