It surprises me that parliaments haven't been added yet, considering their importance to the stability of Medieval realms and with the mechanics for such a system already existing in some form with Conclave.
Some examples of Medieval parliaments;
Parliamentary republics could also be a new form of government for Iceland, Switzerland and Novgorod instead of a merchant republic. It also would make republican governments easier to form from non-tribal realms. Perhaps Parliamentarian revolts could occur which would either create a model parliament or abolish the monarchy and establish a parliamentary republic (happened in Novgorod in 1137).

Some examples of Medieval parliaments;
- Cortes Generales; a parliamentary system originating in Leon in 1188 and spreading to all of the Christian kingdoms in Iberia by 1300
- England; the Westminster system has its roots in the parliament established by the Magna Carta in 1215
- Scotland; the Scots had a somewhat similar system to the English, their respective parliaments merged in the Act of Union
- Ireland; after the Anglo-Norman conquest of Ireland, an English style parliament was established although a Gaelic proto-parliamentary system existed before then
- Nordic / Germanic thing; this parliamentary system is partly represented in the game with events and titles such as lawspeaker. This system birthed some of the oldest Parliamentary systems still around, such as the Icelandic Althing, Faroese Logting and Manx Tynwald
- Switzerland; the confederal Federal Diet of Switzerland created in 1300 lasted until 1848 and was the basis for the current Swiss style of direct democracy
- Commonwealth of Iceland; through the Early and High Middle Ages Iceland was a Parliamentary republic
- France; the Estates General of French Revolution fame originated in Late Medieval France
- Poland; Medieval and Early Modern Poland was a bastion of democracy and liberty in Eastern Europe with its sejms which developed into a more conventional tricameral system
- Cossacks; Cossack hosts were semi-democratic and they valued liberty
- Novgorod; Novgorod was a republic and is such in the game, however it's system of government was more akin to a parliamentary system than a merchant republic
