Now, if you add a bit of roleplay in it and consciously decide to put bigger obstacles in your path (for instance in taking some decisions like not levying as many regiments as French manpower and forcce-limit allow, and having low maintenance), an English-Swedish-Polish alliance against France could at the very least block the expansion - add to that a revised version of 30-years war with most of the HRE in civil war, and chaos would reign supreme. After all, with the Catholic threat apparently banished forever, England's main goal is obviously to make sure that no foreign nation in Europe can grow so big as to be an unstoppable power - which has more or less been the England/UK position for the last 500 years.
Well, if this were an AAR where the player tries to beat the game, France would end up with world domination, without any doubt.

@ Rabid Bogling: Indeed, it and IB were the last two great movies that I've seen recently (excluding Avatar, but I didn't really want to write a piece on three meter tall, blue Huguenots fighting corporate Catholics whilst flying between floating mountains on pre-historic winged dinosaurs) and I felt obligated to do at least some sort of reference. After all, Roy Batty's ending monologue is in my opinion one of the most intense of all cinematographic works.

Ok folks, time for a short (sort of) announcement.
I thought that my abbandonment of the hallow halls of home in favour of a people's high school (the actual translation sounds far more cosy, but I can't be arsed to do that right now... plus this version kinda sounds like something comming straight from the Warsaw-Pact) wouldn't interfere with the speed of updates.
However, it has.
I'm nowhere near my stationary computer on which I have stored all my ingame screenshots, notes, supplies of maps, paintings and - most important of all - photoshop. Without all of this, I won't be able to work on the final update and ensuring epilouges on a daily basis.
This doesn't mean that this AAR is dead. Far from it on the contrary.
I will withdraw to the subjects of this school (if you really want to know more about it then google "folkehøjskole") which for me, hopefully, will amount to sociology, football, anthropology, photography and 'advanced drawing'.
Well... and then there's the complimentary trip to India following the conclusion of this semester (28th of May), which I of course also will be spending some time preparing for

Status update!
Two weeks ago I went back to the sweet old home and amidst the general what ho'ing, I actually managed to finish most of the graphical material for the next installment.
That's only one part of a chapter though, and despite the fact that the majority of the plotline is thought out, I still have to write it out, as to actually grant some form of satisfaction to you, the audience.
However, rest assured that work is progressing excellently.
As a way to wet your appetite here's a short quiz about a short 'poem' written by X. It relates to the content of the next update:
