Does a Field Marshall with the paratrooper trait and an army commander with the paratrooper trait stack the trait so the paratroopers under their command have more time before running out of supply?
The 'Commando' trait help, but what you can't forget, is to active the supply mission on the transport planes. Otherwise the paratroopers will starve to death.

Something to realize about the Air Supply Mission is that it's kind of poopy. Can't choose which units it goes to. It will just be spread out to all the units in the zone.

Good Question.

The trait is defined:
1. Extra Paratrooper Supply Grace: +240.0 Hour(s)
2. Enables Ability: Glider Planes

I' had just run a small test in a test-szenario:
- A FM with para-trait can enable Glider planes for the whole army group; so if he could "use" the 2nd part of the para-trait (gliders) , I don't see a logical reason, why the 1st part of the para-trait ( 240h supply) shouldn't work too.

- I can still assign "skirmisher" or "camouflage expert" to this FM. This could be seen as a "verifier", that the para-trait "works" for him.

( I'm not sure, but I remember, that I read somewhere, that General-traits are working for FM only with 50% effectiveness. )

PS: But we all know, that in-game we will discover "things", that can't be explained with our "normal" logic.

It should work at 50% effectiveness on the FM, stacking with 100% effectiveness of the trait on the general. Also consider that if the field marshal has Logistics Wizard, they can use "Extra Supplies" which is a command power ability that does the same thing as well.

1. Generals give 100% bonus, field marshals give 50%.
2. Earned Traits and Terrain Traits stack.
3. Field Marshal Traits don't work on generals.
4. General Traits work on field marshals.


I think #4 is big. Just assumed it wouldn't work until now, it completely changes my build for FMs.


edit: Nevermind, FM traits give full bonus to all armies. You don't want to waste FM's trait slot for general traits unless you think something is worth despite 50% malus. I'd say Adaptable is a good candidate.

"Double Panzer Leader" (FM + General both Panzer Leader) is quite nice. Gives +10% Attack for Tanks from General and +5% from FM.

Using that you get a modifier "commander skill" for attacks of over +50% (General Attack level 10 + Panzer Leader gives 35% ; FM can give half = 17.5. Together 52.5 possible. )

And I think no FM trait wasted because Panzer Leader is a gainable trait and not a assignable?
